  1. I know its the easy answer but the whole damn team for me is by far outplaying where I thought they'd be. Honestly I was prepared for more suffering and now I'm not so sure we will get any. Sure there will be hickups, there always is. If I have to pick a name I'll go with Risto. This guy could become our own Lidstrom.
  2. Its amazing how things slow down and opposing players kind of back off when Eich has the puck. Its like a force field surrounds him where as he moves it pushes them away. The speed thing is matrix like. This kid is already getting respect from opposing players that most players earn over a career. We are in for a great ride watching this kid develop and learn to use that to his advantage. Get well Josie.
  3. its remembrance day here in Canada so the wife and myself will be doing our annual walk down to the service to stand with the veterans and honour the fallen. Every year the ranks of the old guard have shrunk and the vets we do see get younger due to the current affairs abroad. I'd just like to thank the servicemen and women in our country and of our allies that have made the ultimate sacrifice and continue to make sacrifices so that we may live in a free society. I feel very grateful and indebted to your service. God bless.
  4. Aside from Don Cherries crazed rant on HNIC sat. night I've heard no one come out and say it was a deliberate intent to injure. I believe they intended to hit him no question. Lets be real. This is the Flyers. But that was just a hockey play that went wrong. As for Eich I think he is strong enough to survive in this league for the everyday grind and he's proven that so far but its the knee on knee hit I worry about. Those things happen but would a team go out and target a knee ? I'm not so sure.
  5. Not sure if its been mentioned but apparently Jefferey Dean Morgan is the actor who will portray Negan.
  6. WTF ? We beat the Lightning. Great game
  7. Thanks We've !
  8. lol. I promised myself I would stay away as I already opened my yap in the other thread. Lets face it it does happen in almost every sport and it is just guys tryin to get an advantage which is probably just human nature. I like #9 for the lack of contact and # 31 for the peek through the hands. It would be interesting to see a greatest dives of the N.H.L. The usual suspects would likely show up. I used to hate Roy when he got that reputation and occasionally put us in the box on this type of shite. Carry on.
  9. I'm thinking the bleeding wall is a metaphor for a dying Alexandria. That place is hanging by a thread and I think it'll fall and anyone that survives will form another group that will move on to the next storyline. The creators will probably stretch that out along with the Glenn substory till the end of this season.
  10. My wife and you are in agreement on Bale. Too serious was what she said earlier when I made that post. You're all probably right on him.
  11. Welcome to the board.
  12. I agree with We've on Live or let die. Who is Elba and what has he been in ? I'm not familiar with that name. Christian Bale would make a good bond.
  13. I regret I used that language to try and get my point across. It obviously didn't help the discussion. My bad. In hindsight I would choose my words with more thought.
  14. Honestly I saw a guy flick another players ear with his finger from behind and you'd swear he was shot. I'll take the language I used to describe the players that perpetrate the theatrics out of the discussion. Sorry to the people that love the game. I realize its part of the culture much like fighting in hockey but that doesn't make it any easier to swallow. My personal opinion. Take it for what its worth. Embellishing as a strategy is bad in any sport. I used to play the game. There was never any of that at our level which wasn't very high I'll grant you but nonetheless it never happened. I have a friend who broke his femur during a game. It sounded like a shot from a gun at the other end of the pitch and he practically walked to the bench. We were highschool kids. I honestly don't remember it happening professionally back then like it does now. The best leagues in the world do it and accept it. Still doesn't make it right. My quote may not have been worded very well but when I said this used to be a mans game I was talking about hockey.
  15. Come off it QWK I can guarantee in the league you play in they don't dive like the professionals do. Its why I stopped watching the game. I never questioned anyones toughness. I called them pusssies for the theatrics. And on a side note running a marathon is more physically demanding than hockey.
  16. Yeah I agree. Wiping out the original wouldn't work really. Its when they dive when there actually wasn't an infraction to begin with where it gets to the point of being unsportsmanlike. Damn I hate the Bruins
  17. There's diving and then there's the theatrics of soccer. What I witnessed in the two examples Eleven showed was the theatrics of soccer which I find disgusting. The officials really have to start calling the dive more and target the guys that do it often. Even up calls in those situations where there actually is an infraction but the victim embellishes suck. If the victim embellishes perhaps the original call should be wiped ? If there isn't even an original infraction and someone does the theatrical dive it really is pathetic.
  18. Maybe overlooked maybe not but the fact that Foligno decided to get that puck back to Risto on the gwg instead of trying to jam it by Millsie or just shoot it speaks volumes on the scouting the Sabres did as well as their gameplan on how to beat Miller. Good job under pressure.
  19. Its pathetic that this games athletes are acting like the pusssies that play soccer. Disgusting. This used to be a mans game.
