I'm thinking the bleeding wall is a metaphor for a dying Alexandria. That place is hanging by a thread and I think it'll fall and anyone that survives will form another group that will move on to the next storyline. The creators will probably stretch that out along with the Glenn substory till the end of this season.

My wife and you are in agreement on Bale. Too serious was what she said earlier when I made that post. You're all probably right on him.

I agree with We've on Live or let die. Who is Elba and what has he been in ? I'm not familiar with that name. Christian Bale would make a good bond.

I regret I used that language to try and get my point across. It obviously didn't help the discussion. My bad. In hindsight I would choose my words with more thought.

Honestly I saw a guy flick another players ear with his finger from behind and you'd swear he was shot. I'll take the language I used to describe the players that perpetrate the theatrics out of the discussion. Sorry to the people that love the game. I realize its part of the culture much like fighting in hockey but that doesn't make it any easier to swallow. My personal opinion. Take it for what its worth. Embellishing as a strategy is bad in any sport. I used to play the game. There was never any of that at our level which wasn't very high I'll grant you but nonetheless it never happened. I have a friend who broke his femur during a game. It sounded like a shot from a gun at the other end of the pitch and he practically walked to the bench. We were highschool kids. I honestly don't remember it happening professionally back then like it does now. The best leagues in the world do it and accept it. Still doesn't make it right. My quote may not have been worded very well but when I said this used to be a mans game I was talking about hockey.
-
Come off it QWK I can guarantee in the league you play in they don't dive like the professionals do. Its why I stopped watching the game. I never questioned anyones toughness. I called them pusssies for the theatrics. And on a side note running a marathon is more physically demanding than hockey.
-
Yeah I agree. Wiping out the original wouldn't work really. Its when they dive when there actually wasn't an infraction to begin with where it gets to the point of being unsportsmanlike. Damn I hate the Bruins
-
There's diving and then there's the theatrics of soccer. What I witnessed in the two examples Eleven showed was the theatrics of soccer which I find disgusting. The officials really have to start calling the dive more and target the guys that do it often. Even up calls in those situations where there actually is an infraction but the victim embellishes suck. If the victim embellishes perhaps the original call should be wiped ? If there isn't even an original infraction and someone does the theatrical dive it really is pathetic.

Maybe overlooked maybe not but the fact that Foligno decided to get that puck back to Risto on the gwg instead of trying to jam it by Millsie or just shoot it speaks volumes on the scouting the Sabres did as well as their gameplan on how to beat Miller. Good job under pressure.

Its pathetic that this games athletes are acting like the pusssies that play soccer. Disgusting. This used to be a mans game.

Just to follow this up the new bond flick Spectre was a great time. Enjoyed it as did most of the other old codgers in the audience I'm sure. There were quite a few youngsters there in groups probably getting turned onto the franchise for the first time. on a side note the trailer for Leo DeCaprios new movie looked great.

I think the other problem was that for those that did follow and understand hockey( Like most on this site probably ) the glow became too much of a distraction. We already knew how to pick up the puck by following the flow of play which came with a rudimentary knowledge of the game. It was a chicken and egg thing. Learn the game /learn how to follow the puck. The glow won't teach you the game. It was always my belief that for the small amount of people that would actually be turned on to hockey because of this innovation it would piss off scores more because of the distraction. In my case it did. I hated it. Sorry Blue I had intended to quote a different thread and didn't realize I was here. Doh ! -
Ennis and his moves to gain the line were absolutely SICK

I hear ya. I have no problems comparing the young guys to the greats either. But some do get their panties in a knot for some reason.

Not sure the love fest for mario up here is that strong but whatever. I viewed it as more about acknowledging how talented Mario actually was and whether Jack was capable of living up to that.

15-3 shots. Maybe 3 ,4 times Linus was actually tested. Canucks are dominating possession though. Wake up boys.

I never played professionally either. I just get a kick out of people questioning the work ethic of someone that is small and usually gives 110% everytime he takes the ice who is just back from an injury. Sure he had a bad game. It wasn't for lack of effort. And I don't usually defend players. I thought it was pretty obvious to most he's playing through his thing. Anyways, carry on.
