Don't give up on this team. There's going to be ups and downs but I believe they're worth investing in.

I get it but I haven't really been enamored with the free agents the last couple years that we would have had a legitimate shot at. There were trades with clauses, etc that just didn't work for us. Ullmark maybe but I think he was leaving regardless. We'll get one. The right one just hasn't presented itself, IMO. These college goalies have us in a bit of a bind and I believe once we sign one (likely Levi over Portillo), we'll make a move once he's under team control. If we had signed a goalie to a 6 year deal, I think we'd lose both.

Yeah I think we're fine at goaltending, don't you? C'mon! If you had higher expectations than what you're seeing, then that's on you. If you don't see what this team has and the stage it's in toward the development, then I support you being pissed and to quit on the current plan.

Is the Sabres current status worse than fans expectations this would be a playoff year or they would not believe in what the organization is doing? I'm firmly in the camp of no, the status isn't worse. I thought we would continue to develop offensively. We're tied for 3rd in the conference in goals for. I figured we'd struggle defensively and in net. We're just about where I thought we'd be at this stage. We're young, without a steady net minder and we're not close to being filled out defensively.

I have no idea and you certainly don't either. My guess is absolutely not.

The president of my company has very little to do with how we go to market. The owner manages the money side of things and has a large presence in human resources. We just don't know exactly what they do other than they hire and fire. I get that fans like to guess what their knowledge and involvement is but it's impossible to know.

You're guessing, which is fine to have an opinion. You have no actual knowledge of what Terry Pegula knows or to what extent he's involved in decisions.

This post is pretty obnoxious.

We are a team absolutely trending in the right direction. We are not the laughing stock of the NHL. When we started hot we got plenty of accolades, we've cooled off and that has stopped. Very normal from a national perspective. What's also very normal is free agents want to either go to a winner or get the most money. We've wisely chosen not to do the latter. As we win, this will change. To win its got to come from development. That means there will be inconsistent play. It's hard to ask fans for patience but the mature ones know that's what's needed. Its likely we're going to be good and there's good things to enjoy as we develop. To think we're in the same mire we've been in is just not understanding what's happening. I get that it's frustrating but we're so loaded with prospects, it's more likely we're going to be an excellent team. The organization set themselves so far back from the possibility of developing that caused the prolonging. Well we're here now, it's not the time to be at the low point.
