We’ve had enough “Ville” on this team. No, I’m not making sense, no I don’t care, that’s how much I loathe Ville “I can play center, just not very well” Leino.

Playoff hockey does lots of good for the soul. A decade of stink, and moronic decisions? Not so much good for the soul…. I should imagine the same is true for fan enthusiasm.

I doubt he’s the same player without Matthews. Also, he took a ton of flak for his lack of production in the Leafs exit last year. Haven’t paid attention to his playoff numbers this year. I’d rather add one or two more Alex Tuch’s than one Mitch Marner or even Matthews. I just don’t see any of those guys being anything but Jack Eichel v2.0, and we just got rid of one distraction. No need to add more.

No way I trade Dahlin for either Marner or Nylander, regardless how many picks they throw in.

Well no, but he strikes me as more of a passer, than blueline cannon, so… I like his number of helpers, and I think 10-15 goals will be fine, as long as he keeps setting up plays.

Tuned in, down 2-0, heavily outshot and saw 2 minutes worth of possible bodyplays in the o-zone passed up for lame stickswiping. Sorry, no thanks. My time is better spent elsewhere.

And especially on breakouts, physical play along the boards to impede players skating out if their zone, is extremely important. No need to destroy just run into him, keeping him from clearing the zone, or in this situation, going to the bench. Yet, all we see are those lame stick swipes night after night after night…..

It doesn’t even need to be a bodycheck - Just get your body between the skater and the blueline. He can’t skate through a player! But no…. Lame stick swipe after lame stick swipe….

I am so so sick of seeing these guys pass up opportunity after opportunity to play the body on the forecheck, and instead do a lame stick swipe, puck squirts through to the neutral zone AND the forward breaking out is absolutely unhindered in skating it down. Take the freakin’ body! You don’t need to destroy the guy, but FFS at least keep him in his own zone for extra two seconds, and give your team time to get in position 🤬🤬🤬

Or defensemen….

Until they ask for a trade, or get dealt for 2nd rounders at the deadline…
