He's been known to do worse. He's wanted in three countries (Iceland, Denmark, San Marino) for selling Girl Scout cookies without a license, lechery, and distributing ammunition (stones for people armed with slings, from what I've heard).

...watch bad movies?

Schwartz with 3 goals. Wow.

I've heard rumors that nhl.com will have a second round bracket now that so many are busted.

Donald J Trump, your thoughts on his Presidency

They both need to cut this ***** out. It started in 1992 and it has gone downhill ever since. -
Hamsammich was on the air this morning talking about the egos in the dressing room and the accompanying sense of entitlement. Made it seem like even a Ruff type couldn't get this group to listen to him. I've also heard from a number of sources that Housley wasn't exactly easy on the guys behind closed doors. So whether the coach can get through to these guys is a big concern for me. It's also one of the reasons I don't want Taylor. If he couldn't get through to Bailey, Baptiste, Guhle, et al., how is he going to get guys like Casey and Jack to listen to him?

I'll say it again; give me two months and a Xanax and I'll outdo him.

Ok, but this thread is about the anthems and not the theme from Frozen...

Yeah, I'm not getting into all of that; I'm just pointing out the somewhat-known theory that the third stanza of The Star Spangled Banner has some racial overtones. I've heard the theory before from other sources; that's just the first one that came up when I googled "full Star Spangled Banner."

@SwampD, you're needed in Nashville. The audio mix is horrible.

He's probably referring to this: https://www.theroot.com/star-spangled-bigotry-the-hidden-racist-history-of-the-1790855893

I'm starting to lean towards Keefe. He seems to fit my "does more with less" criterion. But will the players listen to him?
-
And the Canadiens would still have the best jerseys, home or away. I just love them. I know this is SabreSpace heresy.

Has anyone in human history lost every first-round prediction? Because I'm headed there. Certainly, my two choices for the final (Calgary and Tampa Bay) are out. But I'm staring 0-for-8 in the face!

Montreal.

We don't sing it before anything else other than sporting events. Not plays, operas, concerts, gallery openings, whatever. Why do we do it before sporting events? Why does no other country besides Canada do this before domestic sporting events? It's ***** stupid, jingoistic, and it's as dumb as the pledge before school starts. Borders on fascism. EDIT: Forgot North Korea. There's some great company. EDIT 2: And honoring military has turned into military worship. This is dangerous. The pendulum needs to be somewhere between where we are today and where we were in 1975.

Gimme a couple of months and a Xanax and I'll knock it out of the park.

But you cannot condemn the Sabres for hiring a former player in one breath and expnerate the Wings for doing so in the next. If there is a problem with Botterill, it has nothing to do with the 40 games he played here. And I suspect I could keep an analyst busy for quite some time.
-
Much agreed. He may or may not turn out to be a great GM, but the fact that he played for the Sabres (really, he had a cup of coffee here) has zero to do with it, is my point.
-
Sabres should hire a coach with significant USNTDP experience or something.
-
So you don't think a former player from the team is a good choice for GM just because he's a former player, yet you admire the Red Wings hiring Steve Yzerman as a GM? Your mind is a fascinating place, PA, I'll give you that.

Kodak anything hasn't had a good day in this area this century.
-
Didn't you have someone drilling nearby who did in fact hit a gas line? I seem to recall some discussion between you and Chz about it.

I'll remember the streak, my own streak (the Sabres were undefeated when I was in attendance), the win over the Penguins, and the meetup.
