  1. I see another Willie Nylander situation brewing.
  2. Well, then. It's going to be a long summer for the Leaves.
  3. Arbitration a possibility?
  4. For all manner of debates regarding whether Terry and Kim Pegula are "qualified" to own and operate a sports team, whatever that term means. Have at it. I'll see myself out.
  5. Please don't do this. It's not the new season yet.
  6. Done.
  7. This is a thread for discussing general league-wide news. Things like rule changes, uniform changes, players'/coaches' lives, yes, even league initiatives, etc. There are threads for trades, free agency, draft, etc. This is not a thread for pushing personal agendas. I won't even mention Lindy Ruff (well, except for in this sentence) unless there's actual news about him. If it devolves like the last thread did, I'm locking it.
  8. It's going to be Pettersson.
  9. Anaheim is buying out Corey Perry.
  10. I like the idea of joint practices. The Bills have conducted them with Cleveland in the past but that's inappropriate this year (Cleveland is on the schedule). And they're going to be down there anyway for the second preseason game.
  11. Ah, forgot about the injuries...
  12. @5th line wingnutt where is that list from?
  13. Why do I feel like an average of just over 50 yards per game and .67 of a touchdown per game isn't exactly "torching"?
  14. Looks like Trouba's fiancee's medical residency had a lot to do with why he wanted to leave Winnipeg. https://winnipegsun.com/sports/hockey/nhl/winnipeg-jets/personal-decision-for-trouba-jets-werent-the-issue-for-departing-defenceman
  15. He reminds me of DeBrincat.
  16. I'm seeing a lot about this Caufield kid, and I'm liking what I see.
  17. Agreed, especially on the conditional.
  18. She's high enough up to be untouchable. She SHOULDN'T be, and no one this high up has ever brazenly flouted this particular law before, but Barr's not going to do anything. If she were the hypothetical postal carrier, she'd be prosecuted (no matter which side she was campaigning for). Decades ago, I represented some IRS workers who got in trouble for having pro-Clinton signs at their desks; this was during the Clinton administration.
  19. Indeed she did.
  20. I don't know if it was locked 13 minutes ago when you posted, but it's not locked now.
  21. That is quite the picture on so many levels.
  22. Haven't we been saying this for the whole decade?
  23. So basically, it's illegal to use a federal government position to campaign. If you're a postal carrier, for example, and you want to support AOC's congressional campaign, you do it on your own time. You can't wear her campaign button on your uniform. Conway isn't "talking bad about another political party." She's campaigning while on the federal payroll and in the guise of her job, after having been warned numerous times since 2016 to cut it out, which is why a Republican special counsel has requested prosecution.
