GDT: Lightning @ Sabres 7pm ET, Jan 11th 2022, msg-b wgr espn+

Who the hell is Jankowski? -
Nope. And the teams Ga played were over-ranked because the SEC and Big Ten/Fourteen/Pi/whatever always are. If anything, I have some small allegiance to Arkansas, having taught there, and that team was over-ranked.

I'm trying to cut him a break...let's see, that was 2014, Bernier would have been about 26, so ... Someone help me out?
-
I'll repeat that it's not the lack of on-ice rules; it's the authoritarian governments of a number of countries. He's more likely to end up in gulag than suspended.

Private Equity Firms are now allowed to buy into NHL Teams
Eleven replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
Major? Not really. IIRC, at the beginning of MLS, all teams were owned by the league--presenting a similar competitive conflict of interest--and that league has grown fine. But to do this retroactively seems like a recipe for disaster. -

This is horrible, this idea. -
Wish I could go, but I'm going ice fishing and then to a nickelback concert.

Not really an ND fan. VERY casual. If they're on and they're not playing a school I have ties to, I'll probably root for them. I couldn't name a single player. Just keeping the record straight. I was pretty surprised that the game last night opened up after I went to bed.

They play a tougher schedule than any team in a conference, most years. That includes Michigan, specifically, 15 of the last 20 seasons. Georgia's tough schedule this year included Vanderbilt AND Tennessee, a usually bad Kentucky, an unusually bad Florida, Missouri, Charleston Southern, Birmingham, Ga Tech, and South Carolina. Come on. (And that's not accounting for Auburn being in a program slump.) Georgia has played two teams of note and lost to one of them. EDIT: Three, with one loss. I'll give you Clemson.

In the other thread, @Brawndo indicated that he expects Quinn to play tomorrow night and that this is just some procedural mumbo-jumbo.
-
I put this in the COVID list thread, but why not just give him a couple of games in Buffalo? Is there an ELC issue?
-
I'm reading Quinn to the taxi squad? Why not Quinn into the Sabres lineup?
-
I was at a game where the Rags did this against the Sabres. I hope Ullmark likes New York System and coffee milk.

Two shutouts in two days. This trade is starting to look very good.

You're probably right on all three points. The Chinese team couldn't pay its coaches a few years ago, the entire thing is shady. But it is the political authorities I was referring to. He puts a toe out of line, he's in Siberia or worse.

The Heritage Classic Scheduled to be played at Full Capacity

But Lillian cannot use the phone. -
There probably aren't fewer "rules" given that the teams are in, you know, Russia, China, etc.
-
It really sux when someone so talented goes off the rails. Evander Kane, Antonio Brown, Brian Spencer, Amy Winehouse, whatever.

We'll be over Omicron by then, but the Upsilon variant will be spiking. -
Droppin' this here:

His ophthalmologist just dilates him before every game. That's Paris Hilton's friend, right?

My first complaint in this thread, from over thirteen years ago: My complaint? Seems like life was simpler then.

The Sabres are playing hockey again? Is this like the third game in as many weeks? It's turned into the NFL.

I have been to two: UB vs. Connecticut in Toronto, and Syracuse vs. Florida State. The atmosphere at the "International Bowl" was horrible, because (1) Skydome is sterile, (2) those are not football schools, and (3) there were about 15,000 people in attendance. The atmosphere at the Syracuse game was great, except it was about 105 degrees inside a dome named after the person who freaking invented air conditioning. SU needs to pull it together.
