Damn UPL looks young.

O'Reilly is the best C the Sabres have acquired by trade in the last decade. Not too shabby, even if he's not with the team anymore. It's not hard to fathom a similar deal. Think about it--teams underpaid for him TWICE.

I think I said this in my UPL thread, but after being distracted by years of posts about how the team needs a strong "spine," I'm back to the old philosophy of building from the back. G (which the Sabres may already have), D (which needs a little more attention even with Power in the system), C, and then W. Cs take longer to develop than Ws, at least in my mind, and it might be better to pursue them via trade or free agency than through the draft.

It feels like I haven't seen a Sabres game in a month. It may, in fact, have been a month. I don't care if Ruff gets fired; I want a Sabres win--BIG--tonight.

Bummer! Stupid question, but doesn't Canada have to let you back in if you're Canadian? Can you just get the test on your side of the river?
