  1. Great competitive league, started oFF 4-0 and ended up outta the playoffs. I'm in several leagues and this was by far the hardest to claim players off waivers, shows the level of participation this league had. Had fun, love to come back next year. Congrats to the winner
  2. Ok I admit I haven't read this whole thread but I have been wondering about a possible trade scenario which I know is far fetched but I've convinced myself it "could" happen. The player I'm targeting is Stamkos, signed through next year for $5.5 mil, would have to sign an extension in Buf. Sabres send 2 2015 #1s,Isles #2 (keeping their own 1 and 2) and a package of prospects ie>Baptiste, Florentino or something like that, Sabres get a proven scorer still in his prime (younger than lafontaine) The Lightning are stacked at forward for the near future with several young star type players so maybe Stamkos is expendable? Far fetched I know but ya neva know?!?!
  3. Win or lose its nice to see the boys starting to get rewarded for their hard work. Alot was said and written about this team and they just kept their heads down and kept working. Good on ya
  4. Should be a good physical division match up.
  5. The Gionta/Mitchell/Flynn line confused me at first but the more I see them play I can see why they were put together Zadorov contines to improve and I really like the Risto/Zad combo plus the fact that they are playing in all situations now Girgensons...just wow Neuvirth...it sucks that he got hurt, alot

Patty has worked his tail off and done everything asked of him by the league and Sabres, he deserves a chance this year to show his worth to this team. His pure effort and heart alone will lead the way and I think with McCormick n Deslaurier they will form a thumping fourth line wrecking crew.
  8. I was just talking about this subject with my gf when I saw the statue unvail. I thought many of the same thoughts as the op but like alot of people said I think that his death while an active player had the biggest impact on his hockey legacy and the decision to bury his # with him. I respect his legacy even though he won several cups with a current rival, they weren't yet. As for the donut shops, his family hasn't owned them since he died in 1974.
  9. Boo Chowdaheads, hope one of them get their face caved in. Let's Go Sabres!!
  10. Huge win by Reinhart vs Thornton in D zone up by 1 with a couple mins left. Ballsy move by Nolan.
  11. Neuvirth was good today The Sabres blocked 31 shots and SJ missed the net another 10 times atleast. Samson is learning, got a point and made some nice plays at both ends.
  12. At the game, these fans are weak. Only time they get loud is when they r told to. John Scott is,targeting Ristolainen it seems like. Hes hit him several times after the puck was gone.
  13. Enroth played outstanding Zadorov didn't play enough Moulson is struggling to create anything at all, mostly dumping or getting cut off on the wall. I hope he turns his game around Myers is playing with snarl, finally. Let's hope it's sustainable
  14. Tim Murray is an evil genius. He has constructed the perfect smoke bomb right in front of everyone's eyes while clearly stating the plan to tank and allow the talent to develop elsewhere. Same thought at the same exact time, weird
  15. This is pretty true, up until then the Sabres played well. Neuvirth was solid.
  16. I thought: Neuvirth played well Ristolainen is getting better I liked the Sabres team that played the first 10 minutes of this game Reinhart is starting to catch on Gorges is a honey badger, he don't give a f#&$
