Levi is not like other goalies... If you watch his game he tracks the puck better then most Gs I've seen, His ability to move from side to side is also impressive. I've seen lighting quick cross ice passes and Levi tracks the puck well here gets to the other side of the net and is set up before the shooter shoots. You can't teach that, that's an ability that Levi does at a very high level. I would not trade Levi 1 for 1 for anyone outside McDavid, and even thats not what the team needs. Basically watch all the tape on Levi you can.... You can see what he brings and you saw it under intense pressure at the mend of last season for the Sabres... 5 wins 2 losses and one of those losses our D really hung him out to dry

I don't think anybody is counting on that. We'll bring in someone and IMO UPL is the odd man out in all scenarios accept rolling with Levi / UPL as the teams tandem.... which I do not care to have. that's the dream....

I'm not into rentals, and if we can acquire Hellebuyck then offer lesser options and keep Levi. But we have to extend Hellebuyck or no deal Give them UPL and some other teir 2 trinkets but trading Levi is not an option because there is a damn good chance Levi is going to have a long rock solid career that fits in nicely with the teams trajectory and age. Levi is untouchable along side others on this team

There are a tremendous amount of people in all walks of life who enjoy it, hold jobs, pay taxes, and retire with money in the bank etc... My issue is Cromrie and UPL.... I would realy rather replace that duo with a Hellebuyck..... but thats a trade that would cost us a bunch of pieces and not sure KA is thinking this way. But I would be way more excited if we got rid of the non dynamic duo and traded for Hellebuyck and then extend Hellebuyck for a 4- 6 years while Levi earns his 3rd contract... Assuming his 2nd deal will be a a tweener deal

We don't know for sure but I think we have an idea. His metal lapses don't seem fixable to me. I just think this is part of his game he will never be able to fully shake. Don't want that trait showing up when we're pushing SC runs But that is all personal opinon, hopefully he proves me wrong

I still believe what we see is what we get with UPL.. He is not going to get much, if any better, but that's my opinion based on seeing him being incosistent year after year. Levi is entrenched as the future, but behind him and the near future there is nothing to get excited about... Leinonen is a wildcard but really hasn't proven he'll be ready for the NHL anytime soon, and after that we got nothing. The way I feel is I would like to see a few drafted G's placed throughout the Sabres system and let the cream rise to the top. I agree which is why I think you want to have multiple young drafted G's in the system as I mentioned in my reply to Curt

UPL could be a short timer if consistency doesn't ramp up majorily Leinonen really hasn't done much to get excited about but there is still time here It may be better than other teams but if UPL fizzles out and Leinonen doesn't take the next couple of steps will wish we had another your net minder int he system I don't view UPL or Cromrie as in development, the rest are barely NHL worthy, so really we only have one young net minder in Leinonen

Our Cupbaord is pretty bare now that Levi is here.... nobody to get excited about yet with any of the G's in the system. Topias Leinonen - Hasn't done much to get exicited about but still developing Erik Portillo Michael Houser - is what he is, emergency call up but mostly a minor leaguer Malcolm Subban - similiar to Houser in regards to expectations Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen - inconsistency is what drives us all nuts.
