New guys just seemed out of synch as game got faster, especially back on D as well as Bergland Sheary line... Beaulieu was a turnover machine in the offensive zone. Yeh a full on scrimmage practice is needed with stops and starts. How soon till Chris Taylor in new head coach.

Mitts looked decent as well and 4th line was great on forecheck. Eichel line easily worst in defensive zone. May need to switch KO or ERod with Skinner. Maybe put Skinner on with Sheary and Bergland, Sheary line looked the most out of sinc in the offensive zone.

They just looked tentative a good chunk of the night. Didn't help that the D didn't get help on the back end, but the speed of the game seemed to catch them by surprise at times. Especially the Bruins forecheck. Often two players got caught out of position at the same time. Positioning, slow stick work. Just off... Pi was right, they needed the practice or at least the film study. Bruins clogged the middle also back door passed killed us from them. Lack of speed on D didn't help... letting guys get around the corner so easily... Sabres had chances, but didn't shoot when they should and shot when the could have passed... Never felt like the set up in the offensive zone... cycled decent during first two periods, but didn't result in shots. Beaulieu is a turnover machine.

Problem for Sabres is even in this preseason they give up flukey goals late after game is tied. They need to learn how to lock it down and go for the jugular or these stats wont change a whole lot. Its an attitude... suck it up boys you gotta want it..

Speed has vastly improved. D could use a guy or two with more and still have hockey sense. Ghule has speed but seems to lack vision. Wonder if he could play wing. Additions of Tage, Mitts, Skinner, Sheary and Dhalin are a big step forward. Beaulieu if he could ever cut out the brain farts... seemed better in preseason set up Sabres with a good start. Nelson is growing on me especially as a 5-6 guy. Loss of Bogo not seeing as big a deal though Sabres could use another big guy who can skate on back end besides Risto. It will be interesting. Hoping one of the goslies can develop into a shutdown guy and Hutton seems like an big upgrade till then.
