OK----....Bylsma is going to be in great demand ... The sabres are remarkably bad for the amt of supposed talent they have on the team. I guarantee I could be coach of this team and have just as good a record.And I barely know the rules of the sport. "guys... skate around in a circle before the game and when you see their players in our zone smash them as hard as u can into the boards.-And start as many fights as you can.It'll make them think twice about pushing us around."

after a while it just gets stupid....we can suspend reality and believe that the teams give a damn about us and the community when they are busting their butts.If they aren't it just leaves us with the cold stark reality that these very wealthy players and organizations don't give a damn about the fans.and it is stupid to let a Buffalo sports team loss other than your kids high school game or some such thing affect your mood or your life one bit. we could relate to the decades we had a real superstars in perrault and Hasek...and they weren't making a ton more money than we were(or our parents were) back then.And they busted their ass. I think pro sports is heading downhill rapidly no matter what the sport.

Thanks Taro. Toe def fits the bill. And Larry Robinson coached the devils to a cup so I would qualify him as well even though he seemed to get fired a lot.Maybe he had the Ted Nolan syndrome who knows....

this sabre team doesn't have enough Don Luces and Craig Ramsay's. I really think that part of the quickest rebuild is to get a real competitive squad out there with perhaps slightly over the hill vets who play solid 2 way hockey. This team has Eichel , a few young promising players and few decent scorers who are not solid 2 way players.Thats a tough formula with which to win games.

Sometimes coaches have to be gone until you appreciate what they were trying to do with what they had to work with...

The all-time floater was Pierre Turgeon. Absurdly talented offensively. He would float around most of the game doing not much..and still score every single damn game because he was an opportunist. I saw him at the old cow palace south of SF..Sabres vs Sharks late 80s must have been. He looked like he was skating thru central park to Johnny Mathis tunes.
