  1. seems like we are a couple players away...Even in the win streak we were squeaking by lots of times. vet leadership---some older guys who are tougher and skilled...plus dahlin rapidly improving and Jack getting better. you just cant get blown out in your own place while working a 4 game slide....-well you can
  2. seems like 10 yrs.. hey i just checked its almost 8 yrs for the sabres. im optimistic about both teams--just blowing off some steam. Sabres need some real tough proven veteran leadership and are just a couple of players away from contention. The vets dont have to be superstars but they gotta know how to win. Sabres were consistent winners for 40 yrs....you get a bit annoyed when they have a long streak of ineptitude..
  3. after 10 yrs of pegulahell you should expect more than 30 days of bliss....but alas
  4. lets face it......the OTs are still far from evening out
  5. agree. his agent is likely a smart guy
  6. Pegs knows what he needs to do. You can't take that gas money with you.
  7. u mean she may not show up for our date? i sent her airfare
  8. speaking of Bobby Orr.. Orr had 41 pts at age 18 and 120 pts at age 21. The bizarre thing of course is that he was basically done at 26 due to a trashed knee. And is in the debate with Gretzky,Lemieux,Howe as the greatest player ever.(not incl goalie DOM fans) Wouldnt it be great to have another Buffalo all-time great superstar to watch for many years? OJ,Gil,Bruce,Dominic...........Dahlin???
  9. could it be the carmelo anthony, demarcus cousins effect?
  10. does thornton ever wear out?? i think these older guys get old man strength and old man endurance
  11. yep i would agree-would be nice if he were a top 10 player in the league vs top 30. could be the difference between just playoffs vs contender
  12. hehe--glad you caught that:)
  13. hmm im glad I read thru the thread cuz I was gonna say he was being thorntonlike. he looks like one of the cowsills
  14. Turgeon was a classic floater...didnt have much of an overall game exc for being opportunistic as a goal scorer.he would skate around like he was at rockefeller ctr in NYC but would usually sneak in there for a goal or assist. He did accumulate lots of points but i think Martin was superior.
  15. He had the hardest/fastest slap shot in the world. The shoulders he put into every shot was remarkable to see. At least he won that lawsuit and got a couple million. But he didnt have it that bad.Bad things happen to all of us and having a messed up knee AFTER gaining some money and lots of fame isnt that terrible. I think he should be considered for hall of fame given the circumstances of his career ending knee injury and the high quality and great production in the years he played...Lots of worse players just hang around forever and accumulate tons of points.
  16. you are blind...
  17. or as I like to call him..Bobby Orr Light
  18. Pegula has billions.Time to start spending smartly good point. prime example your buffalo bills
  19. 2 strong performances on the west coast--in a row--tough to do
  20. so true. the old sabres put this effort in every night
  21. kiefer sherwood....possibly canadian?..noooo american
  22. we need eichel to develope more hatred in his life. if he wants to be just a very good player scoring 60-80/season then so be it. But he needs to take it personally that he is being outplayed by 20 guys in this league . That would raise the level of play on the whole team.
  23. yep. they look young ,weak, and placid
