Great stuff here, thanks for posting. This is worth sharing with the good folks at the Off The Wall forum in the Sabres thread if you're so inclined. Not as many learned students of the game there and these stats would provide insight above the simple scoring stats available. GO SANRES!!!

Now that Girgs has re-emerged, does anyone know if he saw his shadow? GO SABRES!!!

Two words about the win: character builder. GO SABRES!!!

Don't know why you say goodbye, I say hello.

I was amazed to read that we didn't outshoot a single opponent last season until March 30th. We have done something nine times in three weeks that we couldn't do once in six months last season. Incredible. GO SABRES!!!

You said you based your feelings on intuition. Which is fine. Just so long as we all understand that intuition is based on the lack of conscious reasoning. GO SABRES!!! -
I am with you 100% on this. Might as well call him Wanker. Please don't tell me we have a Wancowitz in the farm system. GO SABRES!!!

When you're out injured you try to be an outlet for the guys to try to take their minds off the game a little bit? My God! He's got them all doing coke! GO SABRES!!! Could have sworn DD and the media have referred to it as lower body since camp. GO SABRES!!!

Several weeks ago one of the players referred to him as "ike" in either a post game or post practice interview. If anyone wants, they can sift through the videos on the Sabres website. GO SABRES!!!

Forgot about the hometown aspect. Playing him is strictly the right thing to do and a classy, good move, regardless. But I don't think Colaiacovo (sp?) did anything in the last two games to earn a return trip to the press box. I think he had more good moments in the two games than Commander Weber did in the previous seven. GO SABRES!!!

I see Tank Commander Weber is back in the lineup. But I hear his board play is good, though, so there's that I guess. GO BILLS!!!

Perhaps Zemgus needs to watch a couple games from upstairs. Seriously though, I think you are right about this being his first experience in a real system. For all intents and purposes Nolan has been his only NHL coach and Bylsma's chess is nothing like Nolan's checkers. GO SABRES!!!

Especially when one of the teams is playoff caliber, while the other is coming off two consecutive years as worst in the league. The guys we shipped out went to an exponentially better team. I needs to wait to see how the respective careers of the players involved pan out first. May take a while. GO SABRES!!!

This. GO SABRES!!!

Outstanding! This is what makes the world go 'round. We really are our brothers' keepers.

That rope needs to come in the form of putting him back on Eichel's wing along with Moulson, who can at least finish from time to time. GO SABRES!!!

Goalie letting in softies. GO SABRES!!!

First of all, tip of the hat to Moe-Ray-All. They are by far the best team we've seen this season and they play a beautiful game of hockey. Lest we forget, not that long ago, they were a lottery team in transition. They are an example of what happens when you acquire good young players and give them a chance to gel. They look like they've been playing together for a long time. That can be our blueprint. Chad Johnson looked tired and when a mediocre goalie gets tired, he is a disaster which I think he was tonight. I hope Ullmark can Wally Pipp his career as a starter. Girgensons is in a funk. He needs to be on Eichel's wing replacing Gionta, who hasn't contributed anything that I can see. We need Bogo back soon. Not that he was bad tonight necessarily, but I can't stand Weber's game. He's a liability. Fransen is slow as growing mold, but has a tad of offensive upside and his shot usually gets through. Best part about tonight? Reinhart and Eichel. Our two youngest. Nice. I'll be looking to see how they respond to their worst performance of the year. I know it's a second of a back to back tomorrow, but it's gut check time. This is when the O'Reilly's on the team set the example. Tomorrow is a great opportunity for this young team. GO SABRES!!!

If Eichel ever gets a finisher to skate with, watch out. Every game this season he has had multiple times where he's set up a teammate for a prime chance only to have the guy whiff or not be able to anticipate on the same level. Frustrating to watch. GO SABRES!!!

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! GO SABRES!!!

Utterly. To have observed ROR in every game this year and think he hasn't been impressive is, well, not very observant. We seem to control the puck the majority of time he is on the ice. The numbers will come as they will for Eichel and others. I like how we are playing. GO SABRES!!!

Hommina, hommina, hommina!

Not surprised that Larsson is sitting after his performance Thursday night. Very weak on the puck and lost several key puck battles. Not sure why Reinhart being on the top line would piss him off. GO SABRES!!!
