  1. Tampa was able to partially offset this with zero state tax and quality of life but your point is well taken. I do believe a lot of players will be potentially pissed at their agents when the cap approaches $95M/$100M and they realize they should not have signed such long term deals.
  2. I still think they want someone better between Z and Kyle but, yeah, I like your scenario better. However, it has come up a couple of times that they need Dylan to be better defensively and more aware of the situation. If he doesn’t improve, I could see a move to the wing.
  3. I can’t envision a scenario where Thompson goes to wing. I wouldn’t be shocked at a scenario where Cozens goes to wing.
  4. OMG, Matt Tkaczuk had a great playoff and suddenly, the silent Neanderthal’s of hockey think you can’t win unless you play “heavy” hockey.
  5. No, he gives perspective of what he thinks of them. Look, like PA says, he has 300K followers so based on my knowledge of YouTube pay scale, he’s making about $5K per month minus expenses. Obviously people find him entertaining so good for him and for them. He doesn’t pretend to be connected but he’s obviously pretty knowledgeable about the sport.
  6. I’m not sure what credibility he has. He’s just a guy with an opinion, not much unlike anyone on this board. To me it’s not different then watching a video message board.
  7. I think that pretty much sums it up. He’s just another fan with a bigger platform.
  8. How about Peter Ciavaglia(sic?) I had to check, although he went to Nichols, he was born in Albany. He may have been first drafted from this area schools.
  9. Doing things right and the optics of it all are important. I remember picking up Eichel at the airport when Rasmus signed his first contract after getting drafted. Jack took time from his summer to fly into town just for the signing and he was cool with the whole thing. Even laughed at security who chased us because I drove past their checkpoint.
  10. They are just waiting for him to return to the States.
  11. It’s funny, Dudley was one of my favorite players and I completely forgot he was a GM
  12. Even the radio play by play guy had a stroke. After awhile, it’s just draining.
  13. Every organization treats these positions differently. I know Schoeny was an assistant gm and I think for awhile the team had no gm do you have to be careful how open the parameters are.
  14. Was he officially GM? I think probably early on, right?
  15. Gerry Meehan Mike Grier Daniel Briere Chris Drury there are probably more but that’s obviously the easy list Oh crap, forgot Botterill
  16. Yeah, it probably lasted a little longer then it should have but I don’t remember there being a lot of alternatives back then.
  17. Coincidentally, Tom’s nickname was “Hawkeye” which leads me to Alan Alda in MASH which may sum up my understanding of the Korean Conflict. I will work on it, someday.
  18. I though about it but, I didn’t want to spoil your fun.
  19. That’s why I included “but” in my answer. Lindt’s tackle was precipitated by a butt end just below his eye.
  20. I know who it is. Tallon was strictly a guess based on a Buffalo selection. Sadly, the first two answers were at the forefront of my mind. Anyway, I only remember one other player with a Buffalo connection, but, I will defer
  21. Butch Deadmarsh St Louis Dale Tallon?
  22. I’ve stopped trying to understand the brain and memory but I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t have gotten Russell if I cheated.
  23. I have no idea why this name popped in my head and I’m not sure he played enough, but how about Don Lever?
  24. I’m pretty sure that was one of my correct guesses but I’m going with the crowd and refusing to look.
  25. My phone a friend guess- Charles Huddy
