  1. The better play is to sign Taresenko and then trade him when Quinn is healthy. Tatar is notoriously dead weight in the playoffs, Tarasenko just the opposite. I don’t think they will, but that would be my plsy
  2. You don’t get full cap relief by burying Comrie in minors but your point is taken.
  3. A) there is always someone who thinks he can fix it B) Buffalo has the luxury of not needing his offense. Other teams could use him as strictly a power play specialist
  4. Unfortunately , most of Quinn’s probably will be a non-issue but let’s hope all of that hits, however unlikely.
  5. I don’t think they are going to spend like drunken sailors either but the point is, anyone they bring is going to be offset by players on the roster in addition to two others plus a forward probably results in VO’s salary going as well.
  6. The way I look at it, and I think some in the front office do, is right now they are probably a playoff team. With him, they are virtually guaranteed a playoff team, of course taking into account that a lot of things can happen to derail that. Is making the playoffs with a goalie that could win a round on his own worth losing a prospect and a number one?
  7. I believe that was called “Twitter members,” at least until yesterday.
  8. The $5.8M is really misleading. It counts at least two players that won’t be here and yes, I know they can’t bury it all in AHL. Point is, they have plenty of room.
  9. KA won’t trade Kulich or JJP. He wouldn’t want to trade the others but in the right deal he would trade one of the other three. I think they are all going to be good NHL players but you can’t keep them all.
  10. Dahlin is done. My guess is they announce it after they think significant moves are done or Wednesday in order to avoid weekend/holiday slow news cycle.
  11. Generally face offs are overrated but I think it’s logical to assume that winning them is better, and at least being close to 50% is desirable
  12. I hate this. They should be at the point that their twelfth m/thirteenth forward needs to be better.
  13. There are alot of thiings you can say about Mike, but to say he doesn't like sports is not one of them. He has been a Sabres season ticket holder, probably knows more about baseball than anyone in the area and is a huge football fan. He is just not a rah rah guy and he expects you to have an intelligent take if you disagree with him.
  14. It’s really hard to argue with the overall success of KA and the future looks bright. However, it’s incumbent on him to take the next step. I understand that New Jersey is a year ahead but they appear to be increasing that lead. Also, Adams and Granato went to great lengths to point out how the more established teams sold their future for short term gains. He has to take advantage of that now and I think he will but until he does, he’s still a theory.
  15. I’m pretty sure I know all of these but I’ll just add one more, Joel Savage.
  16. by the way, third draftee from the last 40 years to play 600 games or more with Sabres; Zemgus I’m pretty sure one is Drew Stafford
  17. With the schedule out, it is that time of year that I ask the question. Who is interested in getting together for a game next year? I have access to ten(10) tickets at a cost of $108 per ticket. Some people get their own tickets and meet between periods. Some just get together for drinks and food before the game. Please pm me if interested and I will give you more details. There is also the availability of between 5 and 10 games next year if interested.
  18. I’ll post something tonight or tomorrow
  19. Should I post something about another get together or just private message those from last year? Also, I do have about ten other games available
  20. Damn, I should have remembered Cunneyworth
  21. I’ll be honest, I’m not sure who you are talking about.
