  1. And it still happens every game, just not caught by the tv crew.
  2. Great explanation of exactly why I respect him for doing that. We need guys that do this.
  3. I want that, too. It's not enough.
  4. Since you can't get past this pedantry, let me add some of my own. I originally said "he is supposed to be elite..." You fall into the category who believes that, "generational to some..." You are not one of them, but they are still out there. My original statement stands and was not a ridiculous reach to be dramatic. I'm done. Dahlin should be better than he is and it's frustrating to watch.
  5. Guess I shouldn’t be too hard on his play at the end of a back to back.
  6. We need vets like that who know how to get away with stuff like that to teach the young’ns.
  7. There were others at the time of his draft. And you are right, nobody would or should say that about him now. And I already said that isn’t even why he is frustrating to me. There are plays where he is just lazy because he thinks he can get away with it. He doesn’t doesn’t have that next gear that you talked about with the Jets. At least I haven’t seen it.
  8. Scotty Bowman. “This is one of those years where there’s a generational-type defenseman available and that’s not always the case,” Hall of Fame coach Scotty Bowman said. “Everybody says this Dahlin is the best in a while on defense.” Not manufactured and not a waste. I’m not disappointed because he’s not generational. I’m disappointed because he is outright bad and lazy, often. If he’s tired, he should get off the ice.
  9. I never said that. I said he wasn’t as good as he thinks he is. He’s supposed to be elite,… even generational, to some. We have yet to see him take over a game, something generational players do. Tonight, he had the puck along the boards, down by one, his only job is to clear the zone. His lazy play ended up in the net. Game over. Not the play of an elite player.
  10. Dahlin’s on the table if he can get someone else that will actually make this team better. Hes not as good as he thinks he is.
  11. He’s not wrong, though. I don’t find his take any more ridiculous that the op. I’ll watch every game. I’ll even root for an heroic run to 9th. It means we’lol get to watch some great hockey for the next month and a half.
  12. Actually, the numbers are in perfect sync with the direction of the “narrative.” I’m not really sure what the point of this thread, is other than to maybe bone up on some basic math.
  13. No work today. Heading up to Vermont for the weekend with family. Hope it’s snow and not rain tomorrow, although, I don’t really care either way. I use my Duluth Trading Co rain gear to snowboard in. If I bought the same stuff in a ski shop, it would have been double the price. The only thing I don’t get is a powder skirt, but, it’s the east. How often am I going to need that?! Just getting out of Jersey will be worth it. 😂
  14. Greenway crushed Hagel with a big hit in the last minute, as well. I do agree that it looked like a pretty sloppy game between two okay teams. Although, it did have a playoff vibe last night, which I liked. Thomson’s goal was great, but it pissed me off at the same time. He plays his own game and refuses to use his linemates at all. It’s no wonder that people think Skinner floats. Why should he try if he knows he’s never getting a pass.
  15. Then I have no explanation. I can't think of a single reason for any of the activity with the threads yesterday and today. If there was an explanation, maybe people wouldn't be dumping on the mods. Nobody was offended. nobody was arguing. It was weird. Just sayin.
  16. Doesn't mean that every once in a while you don't get off on a little power trip, does it? And let's face it, every once in a while, Chz just gets weird. I honestly don't know what TF she is trying to say, sometime. Especially when she drunk dials the board at 1 am.
