Same. I watch enough women's hockey to know that I would be able to enjoy NHL hockey without all the big hits and fights. I'd rather see talented players have long careers and healthy lives. Body checking for the purpose of dislodging a player from the puck does not have to be as violent as we've allowed it to be. I know I wouldn't cheer the Umberger hit nowadays.

Pretty good match from Everton today. Definitely a different looking team from last season. Defence is a little shaky at time but the attack was generating a lot of good opportunities. Richarlison looks good. Walcott with a goal and an assist.

I think this is a really weird take. In theory we're supposed to be putting high quality, intelligent people into these positions. Now...I can't help what the GOP decides to do on the regular, but if there was no security for someone like Obama do you think he would have even run for that job? No way. Some lunatic right winger would certainly have taken his life. There were undoubtedly attempts made that we never heard about. So if we're not offering any protection to public high profile public figures, what kind of people do those positions attract? People who have a death wish as their only qualification? Maniacs? Criminal warlords who show up with their own secret police to protect them?

Phew, I'm not the only one then. Browns make the playoffs.
