I'm not a draft expert or anything so I don't really have an opinion on where we take a RB. I'm mostly just curious if we have anything of value on this team to fix the O-Line so that this isn't a wasted development season for Allen if he ends up seeing playing time.
-
Does trading McCoy for O-Line make sense if this season is going to be a dumpster fire anyway? Like, at least give our quarterbacks some help and draft a RB in the 1st next year?
-
Here's the thing: I like Zach and I've only ever wanted him to succeed here. I was really excited when we traded for him. But the dark comedy of his injury history is just too much to ignore and we should at least have some fun with it.

For anyone interested, Aretha's funeral, which will probably last for many many hours longer than it is planned to, and will feature some solid musical performances, is being live streamed in both audio and video streams in various places. I recommend the NPR audio stream. https://www.npr.org/2018/08/29/642607996/how-to-stream-and-fully-appreciate-aretha-franklins-funeral

Yes they did, and I lol'd.

Zach says he's 100 percent. https://wgr550.radio.com/articles/news/sabres-bogosian-100-percent-start-season How long does he make it into the season before missing a game due to injury? How many games does he miss? What gets hurt?

This team is traaaash
-
You mean have one drink and then drive dad home ?
-
Is 4 a cursed number? Like...if you take 4 are you guaranteed to be the next man off the team?

I don't even know what I'm eating for dinner tonight, but there's a 90% chance it's getting Weber's mustard put on it.
-
The only mustard worth buying comes in a jar.

Fixed that for ya. This country is so problematic when it comes to taking time off from work. If you're not working then you're a terrorist.
-
Well, that's kind of exactly it though. Getting your skates sharpened once a year and then talking up how much you love "the stone" is exactly the kind of thing you hear in every beer league locker room. Which is why hearing it from a guy who isn't an overweight sales manager at a mattress store is so strange. Ideally pro players don't act like beer league players.
-
Still revenue generators. Just like beer and parking.
-
Why would pre-season be any different? The games are still ad-revenue generators for the networks that own the broadcast rights.
-
It's real. That's the Cup filled with hotdogs.
-
That's because he's the pinnacle of performance
-
I absolutely believe it. Goalies are weird as .
-
To be fair, I don't think it's something a goalie coach would mess with. If the guy doesn't like sharpening his skates there's really nothing you can do about it. Goalies man. Goalies.

Or is Brees hurt?
-
I dunno. I know the church has supposedly lost ground financially over the years, but I think there are still plenty of die-hards who wont leave the church no matter how messed up it gets. They've got a base, and that base has to have known that this stuff was possible in their own back yards. Catholic priests abusing people is not a new phenomenon. If you're not aware of the possibility of it happening in your own church then you're being willfully ignorant. That's "faith" I guess.

Donald J Trump, your thoughts on his Presidency
darksabre replied to LGR4GM's topic in The Oval Office (Politics)'s Topics
I made a similar comment last night. Democrats are really excited about the turnout in their own primaries right now. Which, okay, it's good that Democrats are getting out and participating more. But it's kind of a self-own too. The Democratic party effing sucks at the "doing the politics" part of politics. -
I think this is likely the need. The problem would be the desire. How do you convince the Catholic Church that they need to reform, and who within the Church would have the guts to start it?
-
Simply kicking them all out isn't really going to solve this, is it? I mean, this is a problem that has plagued the Catholic church for how long now, through how many generations of priests? I don't want to call the Catholic church a breeding ground for predators but...it's a breeding ground for predators. This whole thing is endemic to the church, across continents and generations. I don't think you can just cut the cancer out.

I am so sorry to hear this NS. ?
