Doesn't seem like there were many players out there that would be worth it, especially with Buffalo into even worse contracts than those players got since they'd have to offer a lot to get people to look here (as the prevailing wisdom goes).

That's not what was ocuring in the Toronto video, this one was holding pressure until the water came through. The Toronto lid was releasing all the pressure.

It's venting pressure, so probably not that far, and straight-ish up if it does. Mostly likely it ends up on edge releasing all the pressure, or just barely off to the side.

NYC (to differentiate from WNY) pizza is lame, not nearly enough structure and crust. Most Philly pizza I've had is a poor imitation of NY pizza, but the Sicilian style (thicker crust and usually square) is the better of the two options. Measuing the servings is the key there. As long as you're honest with yourself and have soime restraint it's not *that* hard to lose weight. Speaking for myself, at least. Once I got serious about paying attention to what I ate, I lost a similar amount of weight as you mention, eventually totalling 70 lbs in 10 months.

Thanks for the Dechutes tip, my wife used to live that way and Black Butte Porter was her go-to. Seems Deschutes is setting up distribution on the East Coast so you'll start seeing more of it around. A pretty good list of places, I've been to most of them. Damn, now I want to go out tonight.

The draft, to me, read like the Sabres stocked up on D (obvs) and hard-working 2-3 line forwards. My guess is they expect to pick those 1st line guys through FA (somewhat unlikely) or in the draft next year (expecting a lean year this year). I'm OK with that. If we pick and trade for two 1-15 picks in 2014, seems like a decent plan as D take longer to develop. Knowing the Sabres, they'll be plucky upstarts enough to pick around 10 again and screw it up.

We all think it was an overpayment, but there's probably at least one GM out there that thinks it was situational and he'll play better.

The main problem with most of those scenarios is they have a lot of moving parts. You have to get 3+ GMs to all agree to your terms (independently, of course) which is hard enough in a vacuum. And you have to wonder if one of two of the later deals fall apart because the GM sees the other moves you're making and doesn't want you to become a powerhouse.

That's pretty much how it goes. I don't know what calculus you use for a house, but if I were buying again (and I may be before too long), take a long look at how far you are from work (commute time) and how far you are from places you want to go on a regular basis. I screwed those up and it seems like I'm in the car a lot now. It's not as bad on the bike when (like last night), I take the scenic route home. You can always fix up the inside. :)

People suggesting that the Sabres buy-out Leino. Even if he was a good candidate for a buyout, he's injured and can't be.
