I'm with you, I think when signed I said something like, "If this were a nameless vet that is a 2-way center, plays in a shutdown role, on the PK, and can chip in 10 goals, we'd be overjoyed.". Hecht has 5 goals, so he's just about on pace for a 10-goal season (despite how horrible this team has been). I should have added consistent.

I'm not sure you ever plan to have 10 NHL-ready defencemen at the drop of a hat. I think #7 and #8 were OK, but the third pair (9-10) had made their NHL debuts in Games 6 and 7.
