  1. Vanek jersey?
  2. That's quite the book, since it essentially says shoot everywhere.
  3. FWIW, Miller's currently at .926% for the season and .916% NHL career. Lundqvist is at .914% and .920% (#3 all time) respectively with very similar numbers for shots. I consider Henrik pretty-f'n-elite. That being said, the lifetime leaders that are ahead of Miller (he's #12) are all still playing, other than Hasek at #1 (.9223). http://www.hockey-reference.com/leaders/save_pct_career.html So, I don't think Miller is elite. I don't think many people here say that; I think people that say Miller is elite are not paying that much attention. He's also not something you just toss away because there's a ton of guys better around though.
  4. And people will be clamoring for Hackett (or new goalie coming back in trade).
  5. Exactly. Because every goalie has crappy nights and lets in crappy goals. Because we watch all the games, we see them, and if you're of a certain disposition, focus on those.
  6. Maids got it easy. Dry cleaners, however...
  7. I'd fantasy bet on this outcome. Put him on a line where he's expected to be the 3rd best player, and he might have enough room to work.
  8. @217, one unit ($140) on the Caps. EDITY: If it's always round up, I'm at @220 now.
  9. 160/280 == 57.1, so I'm at 217, ja?
  10. @160, all-in on the Pens.
  11. 2019: The NHL has awarded an expansion team to San Diego. The new team will be called the Suns because they play their entire 48-game home schedule in an outdoor arena. Yep, they do. NBCSN/NBC/NHL Network get priority over local broadcasts. Although I could have sworn one of the Flyers game down here was on Comcast sports and blacked out on NBCSN.
  12. Yep, me too.
  13. @mattpi (from twitter): @Spndnchz just bumped the Ryan Miller thread, something is afoot!
  14. Man, someone is using *my* posts in the Enroth thread for Twitter-fodder now.
  15. Nope, never heard it either. I prefer "all catawumpus" for that meaning.
  16. But he can go from one corner of the ice to the other very quickly!
  17. NHL All-star game at Wembley.
  18. See here's the issue: compliance/amnesty buyouts, unless I'm mistaken, can only be used at the end of this year. After that in order to jettison Leino the Sabres either have to find a trade partner or normal-buyout which cuts into the cap. I don't know who is going to trade for him, and I'd hate if a few years down the road that cap penalty would be killing the team from bringing a good trade or UFA. Buy Leino out with one of the two compliance boyouts, and give some scrub a 1-year $6M contract (John Scott!) each year until we need the space for a UFA worth that money.
  19. That's one of those "German Crazy-Supid" things, isn't it? Nikita says, "to make omelet, you must CRUSH eggs".
  20. I see it as: Philly_average_GT < Enroth < Miller. I think Enroth tops out around where Miller is most years, but if I were fantasty betting I'd Enroth being Marty Biron 1.9 (not 2.0 because Enroth is too short, hey-oooh). He'll be good enough as a backup that people will think he's a starter, but when given the job he'll just barely not be good enough.
  21. It happens. My wife was older than several of her teachers at her most recent school. Her attitude, at least, was she was there to learn and as long as you have something to teach everyone will be fine.
  22. Even if he had the defensive ability, I can't see him having the size. Is he really going to be effective against a big forward?
  23. As a follow on, there's a Google Calendar that does that for Android as well. https://www.google.com/calendar/htmlembed?src=nhl_2_%2542uffalo%2B%2553abres%23sports%40group.v.calendar.google.com&ctz=America/New_York
