That night after winning the beanpot is about as crazy as it gets. It has to kill their entire week. There's a reason why both BU and BC typically lose their next game after that tournament. I've seen the BU celebration first hand several times over the years. It'll be a good mix of the players and even some of their parents. I was still drunk at 8PM the next night a few times after those games. It's not pretty.

You can only let players and equipment grow for so long, allowing them to fill up more net, until you try to balance that out with bigger nets. Shooters are so incredibly accurate today, but it doesn't matter when they have next to nothing to shoot at. Give them a bigger target and scoring will increase... and not just fluke goals either.

So does Larsson finally get an extended look now or do they wind up going with someone like Schaller or Varone again?

I missed this one. Thug is a word I've used a million times to describe countless hockey players. I won't let someone tell me it is suddenly racist. Wait, if I've used it a million times, how could the quantity of hockey players be countless? Now I've gone and confused myself.

It's probably a discussion for another thread, but bigger nets. That will wind up being the key point to any future changes meant to increase scoring.

I don't want to put too much stock in the thought, but spending most of the year in Rochester also gets him a cheaper contract next year, probably just his 1 year qualifying offer.

I'd love to be a fly on the wall when Rick actually tells Aaron (that is his name, right?) why he didn't trust him at first. This group can't trust anyone by this point.

They do have a window short term to call up Markstrom actually. He has to be dressed in 10 games before he would have to clear waivers again to be returned to the AHL. Then there's also the emergency recall they can use to avoid waivers. Remember a few years back when Scott Clemmensieve played most of the season for the Devils and then didn't have to be waived to return to the minors? edit: Ah, Taro beat me to it.

I can't say I ever thought I'd see BU players at #1 and 2 on the scoring list.
