  1. This whole thing is stupid. Why do we need to generalize all of these situations. It's not ok to hit a woman. It's not ok to hit a man. It's not ok to hit a Luke Adam. It's not ok to hit a robot Richard Simmons. It's not ok to hit anyone.
  2. I've got random thoughts to add but I really do think this whole thing needs to be moved out of this thread.
  3. I wonder where Crosby would be right now if he had a Duncan Keith on his team.
  4. They're actually going to go back retroactively and name him as the captain as of 1970.
  5. Right, he's an attention (rhymes with bore). He just wants the media to talk to him a bit, kind of like how he only mentioned himself as a possible suitor of the Bills just to get some positive press. This time he had to actually make it "official" that he is running because it needed to go one step further than last time or else his motives would be too obvious. The backlash at him comments over the last week or so has been a major miscalculation though. That's going to hurt him in the wallet for a little while, but I can't help but think he's got something planned to balance that out, some new tv show or something.
  6. We just need the expansion to happen as soon as possible. Let's get in under the wire before some of these kids are even eligible for the expansion draft.
  7. Those posts are awfully dumb for a guy who is such a media . He does typically know very well how to draw attention to himself. Granted, this whole "campaign" does look to be a major miscalculation so far. I bet he finds away to salvage it in the end though. Watch, he'll do something like stringing together a new season of the Apprentice with all of the republican candidates who don't make it out of the primaries. Lord knows there's enough of them.
  8. The margin of error is so razor thin in those games though. I know it's cliche, but a couple bounces go the other way and the results of many of those games change quickly. Just look at that Lions game. They had no business winning that one. I know there were a few others that could have gone either way, both wins and losses, but that's the first one that immediately comes to mind. If I had to guess, I'd put them pretty much right where they were last year. The only way I'd go over 9 wins is if one of the QBs emerges.
  9. I will gladly quote any post you make just to preserve it if you do want to go this route. I think it would be hilarious.
  10. I assume that's not actually Trump writing all that stuff and he instead has a 6 year old kid he hired as his social media person (most likely chinese).
  11. Why use a number at all? He should have a picture of his face on the back of his jersey. We all know Qwksnd would buy that one.
  12. I thought it was hilarious. And the trick to keeping the post count would be to delete an old post each time he makes a new one. That way, he could be stuck at 39 forever. I don't know if it works with the software here, but I remember one person doing it at another board to forever stay at 6969 posts.
  13. Expectations are high among Buffalo fans, but pretty much nowhere else. That really doesn't feel all that different to me than most years. Yes, the feel around the team thanks to the new front office is very new, but the fans are still the exact same to me. They're always the eternal optimists at this time of the year. Oh, and I thought the typo I fixed while starting this post was pretty funny. I originally typed out "RExpectations". I probably should have left that one in there.
  14. That's what qualifies as a good dream these days? I thought the bar would at least be set at winning the cup, the superbowl, and punching Tom Brady in the face all in the same day.
  15. That's the first time I've ever seen Carolina listed as a team that is really struggling, by a wide margin even. Looking through the last few years of attendance, this was the only weak season. I'd think the league would be far more worried about other situations before theirs.
  16. What did the coaches do when they suspected Sapp was beating up hookers?
  17. Have you ever actually seen Bautista and Eichel in the same room?
  18. You want to know the best part about the whole rush to buy the jersey? It will wind up on back order for a month or two anyway.
  19. Bylsma spent time with him in Kelowna this past season and now he's here. Interesting.
  20. Just remember that he will finish his full four years at Harvard. Short of the very rare occasion, you don't pay to go to school there and not see it through.
  21. Agreed. Best post on here in a while.
  22. Man, I thought you had yours already. Oh well, have a fun with the crazy week you're in for this week.
  23. So they do it a bit different now and don't bring all the ELC guys anymore, huh? I guess Ristolainen and Zemgus won't have to go the Ennis route and have to go to about 85 of these camps over the course of their careers.
  24. I'll be curious to see how much time he gets. I don't get the impression that he's a guy that will be on the fast track to the NHL. I like your suggestion there that he wants up being a frequent call up by year two, but not a full time guy.
  25. Not that it matters too much since he'll be earning the AHL level of his contract for the first couple years when he does turn pro. He'll need some seasoning just like most.
