It's in a group email with reply to all too, so it's out there for all to see. I've got quick tasteful email all queued up to respond, not the expletive filled rant I want to go with, but instead showing my disgust in the most respectful manor possible (I know, not the shrader way). It'll probably go right over the mouth-breather's head, but I'm content with that. I have to run it by the wife first though because I don't want her to have to deal with even more than she already has now.

Yeah, I'd imagine that on top of the number limit, each team would have a some sort of salary cap for what could be protected. How RFAs who haven't yet signed a new deal would factor into that is a major complicating factor... that or guys who have signed a new extension but it doesn't take effect until the following offseason. All interesting stuff to think about. Has any of the salary cap leagues held an expansion draft while the cap was in place?

I'd love to hear more details about that expansion draft plan. That sounds interesting.

I just wonder how all of this winds up helping his business ventures. I know it's a very naive way of looking at it, but listening to all this stuff makes me want to avoid anything related to him. edit: Well, that and I have this deep down fear that the people of this country may have become stupid enough to actually go through with this, but that's another story.

Let's just say that right around 2 years after his passing, ending an email with "dad would be rolling over in his grave" isn't exactly a great move to make.... especially when it's all over a very minor miscommunication

You're exactly right, this isn't going to blow up on him. What the republicans really need to do is get together and agree to getting a lot of these guys to drop out. The only reason he's on top of polls is because the 70% that would never vote for him are divided up among 80 other candidates. But then again, our pal from Nova Scotia would never be allowed to come here, so there's one good thing out of all of this. :P

And the refs usually receive about 10x worse of a response than that.

I don't know if there are exclusive rights, but she was definitely created by the show and not in any of the comics. If you watch Arrow at all, it's kind of like John Diggle. He was created first on the show, but there's no exclusivity as he has now been added into the comics. And as for Fish, she was but that was then completely ignored in the finale. So odd, almost like they completely threw away that whole subplot.

Wow, no comments so far about what I was expecting to see this morning. I'll take that as a very good sign.

The relay race process of getting all the bears onto the ice, especially the ones that have to go around the end netting, is hilarious. It never gets old watching that. But what if Calgary got shut out?

The strange stuff with Fish towards the end covered several episodes (I forget how many), so that one certainly qualifies as a subplot. That and then they pretty much ignored it when she returned in the season finale. Unfortunately, since it was the end of the season, that is what is freshest in my mind from their first year.

Have you even gotten an email from "family" that so egregiously crosses the line that you know an enormous storm is about to hit? I'm not looking forward to the second I find out that my wife has read this one.

The first season for a bit crappy down the stretch with that weird surgeon transplanting eyes. I have no idea what the point of that whole subplot was.

The Paris idea does sound a bit interesting. I'll have to look into that a bit.

Mirage and MGM were two that were showing up yesterday with some prices I was very comfortable with. I'd imagine that as long as I avoid the one or two places that most people aren't crazy about, I should be fine. Still, I'd much rather hear comments from threads like this as opposed to online reviews. I have a hard time getting anything out of those.

The trip is going to be 4 nights.

The wife and I are planning a trip to Vegas in February. I think we'll wind up staying on the strip, close to everything, but are there certain places we should aim for? I think we'll be going for a middle of the pack place in terms of pricing. Anything else in the area we should go out of our way to see?

I gotta say, I didn't watch a single second of football this weekend and it was awesome. This is what you have become, NFL.

It turns on, but I'm not so crazy about using it now that I've located where it's coming from.

Everything's under warranty for a year, so you damn well better believe that they're fixing it, not me.
