  1. Past hour
  2. Yep. About what I remember. Nobody ever owned it. 😂"Big consequences" That’s really funny.
  3. If they trade Byram for a forward, I bet you they go with Dahlin on the right side and Power-Dahlin is a distinct possibility.
  4. How do you interpret someone asking “why” has antagonizing? 😂 🤡
  5. Today
  6. Griddle is finally hot, so time for dinner. Hope all our American members have a great Independence Day. And hope all our Canadian members and those few from elsewhere have had a very pleasant July 4.
  7. I don’t see any evidence of that, do you?
  8. And Mitts noticed how hard the Avalanche practices were.
  9. Maybe the key is “thus far”, but my question is does his plan actually include becoming a playoff team (or is that just icing on cake on top of being thrifty)? Not getting too much worse won’t help Dahlin, TNT and Tuch want to stick around, but then again maybe the plan is to move them out for rebuild 4.0, 5.0 or whatever would be next.
  10. I respect your league wide knowledge.Give me a few names of veteran players who might be available and would be good pickups on a short-term deal like the the Zucker pickup was for us last year. Our unimaginative GM needs to scan the market for deals that are singles when home run pickups are out of reach. Getting better on the margins is better than not getting better.
  11. You're totally overlooking the inspired full season of play they'll get from Norris and Quinn. None of them were effectively on the roster last year. You KNOW that Adams is banking on big years from Norris and Quinn. (And IF he gets that, AND the goaltending is at least top 12, AND they stay healthy, AND Kesserling and Power gel; well, without any pucks going into the Sabres net off knees and counting, then probably (possibly?) PLAYOFFS!!!!)
  12. Best case scenario is this is essentially our tweaked on the fringes roster from last season that somehow gets enough from Roslovic in place of Peterka that most of the Kesselring upgrade value is pocketed. I feel like that’s essentially what Adams wanted: the team again + Kesselring
  13. The only Amerk ready to come up is Kulich. Yeah, I know…but there’s no way he would have come up on a playoff team last year. Otherwise, I’m not interested in anyone else coming up save for Levi (if ready, but even him…). Put it this way, if they cannot help us get into the playoffs, they should not be coming up. Many teams play younger players because they need to get under the cap. That’s not us.
  14. Well he was hoping to be drafted by Buffalo, not Edmonton. Remember the sick look on his face when the Oilers “won” the lottery.
  15. Pittsburgh is said to be placating SC by keeping Rust and Rakell. The 9th for Rust would have been fine for me. If we bridge BB and add Roslovic ( assuming the $$$).. I like this off season 🤷🏻‍♂️
  16. Benson - Kulich - Thompson Roslovic - Norris - Tuch Zucker - McLeod - Quinn Greenway - Krebs - Doan Danforth Byram - Dahlin Power - Kesselring Samuelsson - Timmins Johnson
  17. Actually the plan looks pretty clear based on what they’ve done, at least so far: navigate the contract minefield of this off-season without significantly increasing the payroll or getting too much worse. He’s probably pretty happy with the results so far.
  18. Tuch is a good player. Benson has a chance.
  19. Again, dumb or not stupid or not, Adams has been an utter failure as a GM in this league. Sure, some of the things he says in front of the mic has merit at times and defending against the offer sheet is one of them. But he is full of crap with his trite remarks and platitudes the majority of the time. Like that old saying goes, he’s all hat, no cattle.
  20. Pittsburgh would be interested in a futures deal, Chad D said Buffalo was considering moving 9th overall for him. Take that with a grain of salt thought
