Dahlin is +/- negative 7 and has not played a game where he has had a positive +/- stat. I said this last year but if he is not +20 at the end of the year we are probably not in the playoffs. He has the capability to go off at any time though and it certainly helps that players around him are doing well. I would expect things to go better. It would be hard to win without him playing well.

The lineup is presented to the officials before the game. It doesn't change during the game. Zucker was in the lineup for the entire game, he just didn't finish the game. Beyond that, the source of my annoyance is without a shred of data, people had Zucker indeed out of the lineup... for weeks... with bones cracked like kindling... in an iron lung. Which is the only reason Zucker Is Back! had any ring of truthiness. He's not back. He didn't go anywhere except down the tunnel for a bit.

He is pretty close to batting .000 but he hit on the Byram/Mitts trade. If Peterka didn't ask to be moved would the Sabres had pursued Kesselring or Doan in separate trades? That would be interesting to know, but our insight is limited so you have to look at whatever happens is now part of the collective of Adams + Ruff + Jarmo. Prior to that it was Adams with some inputs from Granato.

We are in the same spot with Kekalainen as we were with Ruff a year ago. Every move seen as positive by the fanbase and every move that seems to be working out, is credited to the influence of Ruff, and now Kekalainen. That is, until it doesn’t work out, in which case it’s Adams (see: adding Malenstyn and Lafferty are clearly Ruff’s influence, quickly becoming Adams is a fool). I’m not defending Adams, but he is not batting .000 when it comes to roster moves.

Sabres announce Radim Mrtka has been assigned to the WHL

Good move. No brainer actually. -
I remember all too well, unfortunately. But Yankee starters aren’t on the same planet as the Dodger starters.

When I was in my school days being a 3 letter athlete was very hard to do and was a lofty goal for some. I had a friend make it as a pitcher in MLB, and he had a good career. He also lettered in basketball and football. He was a star in all three. We didn’t have much off season sports in WNY back in the olden days. He only played baseball in spring and summer, but he made it. Times have changed.

Let’s Go Blue Jays!!!!! Jumping up 2-0 would be enormous. Getter done Gausman!

Come on, man. You never miss an opportunity to take a shot at the kid.

Good start for the Jays. The have momentum. The Dodgers will try to bury that game and come back.

And why would sitting out help him? Sitting him out is isolating him from something he loves doing. He may already feel isolated due to the situation with his partner. He could become preoccupied by it. I think that maintaining his responsibilities to the team, being actively involved in helping his team, and being among some of his closest friends on the team is actually good for him. He cannot fix her. He can make her feel better by being who he is. And if he does feel the need to get away I suspect he would get full support from Lindy, Adams, and Terry.

Team has some identity but they are thin and these injuries are holding the back. They aren’t a strong unit yet so they struggle when one or two pieces are gone. the attack with the sticks and not going through the motions is making the difference in the mean time A few more injury returns and they’ll be hot
