We've seen with this organization that that can change to week-to-week very quickly.
-
The main passenger being the person flying the plane and assembling the coaching staff and roster who whines that his job is hard because of taxes and palm trees. If he were a leader, he would have said ending the drought is priority #1 and all efforts will lead toward it. Not saying that the owner gives him all the resources needed. He'd demand more from the owner, from the players, and from himself.
-
I feel like this could be a separate thread. If the players are owning the drought and the responsibility to end it, that's a huge shift and a great sign.
-
Welp either KA has made a brilliant move and we have a goalie to pair with Levi for the next 3-4 seasons to see if one can became our #1 or we just tanked the coming season. Tough to say

Seems be where this group landed. I have faith in Leone. Also Prospal, need more of him.
-
He had a really good interview with Biron and Duff yesterday too. Talk a lot about his opportunity and needing to play even better. Leaders lead.
-
Yes but it's still one less team that can bid him. It's one less team that can bid on Tuch. Also there's 8yrs versus 6. I don't disagree at all about the cap paradigm changing, Tuch is getting a big bag.

He says he worked a lot on his skating this offseason because he saw the analytics and realized he was slower last year than he was his rookie season and thought that was unacceptable.

Sabres to place Alexandar Georgiev on waivers today

He gone need one in Amerks colors, possibly Jacksonville as well. -
Doan, may possibly have what this team has lacked for two decades. Unfortunately, I doubt he alone is enough to make a difference. Kesselring will be nice if/when he plays. Still think the team needs more of a heart transplant. A few passengers that need to be weeded out.

Don't overthink it. Sports are supposed to be fun.

Winnipeg paid him because they knew if they didn't they were losing him in a bidding war on July 1st. The cap paradigm is completely changing.

Blümel was put on waivers by Boston, Buffalo should have also claimed him. https://www.eliteprospects.com/player/272376/matej-blumel

Can someone telling me why I’m looking forward to this when I shouldn’t be? I’ve been training myself all summer to be pessimistic and disappointed. It’s not working.
-
Friedman’s 32 Thoughts today mentions that Roy and Pominville thought Erhoff and Leino contracts messed up the Sabres room.

It's a Masochist reunion

Also, as the pool of top UFA's shrink (supply) so does the teams with the will, or money to sign them (Demand). If Connor chose not to sign in Winnipeg, sure there would be more supply with him on the market, but the also would be more demand (Winnipeg now looking elsehwere to fill that hole.) Every free agent signed, even with their own team, impacts both supply and demand at the same time in a salary cap league.

They are not a very deep team. They have one good defensive pair. The third and 4th lines don't inspire confidence. The goalie can only do so much. I think it will be another long year for them.
