Elliotte Friedman: I think the chances are pretty good that Sabres Bowen Byram gets dealt, with JJ Peterka I still don't think Buffalo's heart is really in it - SN 590
-
Maybe Ruff won't stupidly bench for a penalty while everyone else Sunday skates around. Or maybe Benson will finally get pp time.
-
And he’s good at hockey At face value this take doesn’t suck but his underlying metrics are special. He’s got it. Whatever it is. He has it in droves and he’s a dick on the ice.
-
As I’ve said before, the only way I take picks is within a Peterka to Chicago deal for 3 and using some of Byram’s value to get #2 to take Misa who is NHL ready. Otherwise if we use #9, I want the best non-small forward/defender we can get.
-
You probably should be because it's a really bad take.
-
Ya I really feel this year is the year we see the full Benson experience and we are all gonna love it
-
Benson is going to blow your doors off.
-
I just want a mean-spirited bastard who will not be a defensive liability and who can score a little when needed. Think a McLeod type player who is a complete dick.
- Today

I misread it, as to what "I" would do with it. Adams is making the pick, because he's the generic simpleton.
-
Can't even name a top 20 player that profiles like Savoie in this draft.
-
I guess “we’re gonna build through the draft” isn’t quite working.

4 out of 5 dentists agree.

Some history on Iran’s nuclear program with the first lesson being that it is nothing new or even recent for that matter. In the early 70s the shah, with our full support, assistance, and engineering know-how, embarked on an ambitious program to build numerous nuclear power plant facilities and we were instrumental in helping them acquire the fissionable materials required. But we and the Brits were only too eager to keep happy Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, the puppet leader we installed after the 1953 coup orchestrated by the CIA and MI6. Irony of ironies.
-
I'm not quiet in my disliking Benson on the top 2 lines.
-
It will be incredibly depressing if the Sabres trade Peterka. Why would a team that has failed to make the playoffs for 14 years be trading a player that is considered to be the top asset (only 23 years old) available this offseason? Sabres can't continue to be the development team for quality players that will be traded for much less value to teams with quality front offices and organizations.

Where was this reported? -
Oh good. Terry gave his blessing..
-
He is better than Peterka right now though as a full hockey player from end to end. Assuming they want Peterka in the trade (I think they could make a case for Byram)... You probably want tage back at center and it'd look something like: Benson - Tage - Tuch Zucker - Norris - Kyrou Kulich - Mcleod - Quinn Greenway - Krebs - Malenstyn

i'll grant this: she does seem like a still waters sort of person. -
Mogilny was in a odd predicament if my memory serves me. Wasn’t that the year that no matter what happened in the final 10-15 games the Sabres were too far behind to catch team ahead but also far ahead of the team behind them that they couldn’t be caught? (I just checked and they were 0-7 in April, and finished 16 behind Montreal and 28 ahead of Hartford) I wondered how that affected his/their play? Like did he/they let up and if so did it adversely affect his final tally? By looking at the way they limped in to the playoffs I’d say it most certainly had a negative effect. I do recall Selanne scored on final day and that later that day Almo had to score two to tie him. It’s always bugged me that TS tied him in goals. Standing alone would’ve been even more impactful.

The advisor thing is a no brainer. Of course it's remote. It's probably not even a full time role. I think the AGM is likely a bit of a rarity. Karmanos is probably not the only one, but I would be very comfortable in getting the under on 5 AGM's not living in their NHL or AHL city. That's a totally uneducated guess though But it is surprising that the most senior hockey guy on the payroll in any capacity is not coming in to be in the draft room in person. -
Apparently it can only be used as a noun.
-
To me, Adams comments — the maybe get into it after the draft stuff — sounded like he knew a deal was coming.

It'd be really fun if they still had JT Miller on the team. Add Kane to the EP-JT discourse. First liner (on this team) under team control/contract for several more years? Time to move them out. Sounds like a case of the someone doesn't want to be heres.
