  1. Past hour
  2. While Jarmo may not be the best NHL GM, the better ones are mostly employed at the moment as POHOs or GMs. He is definitely better than KA and I currently think that Jarmo, like many pro hockey people, can learn from past mistakes and grow into a better version of himself. Some GMs ans coaches have had 2-3 jobs before finally having success. 16th best gets the team into the playoffs and you never know what can happen. Keep building from there.
  3. I all for cleaning house. Scouts, coaches, training staff, analytics dept -all of it. Bring in new faces from winning organizations.
  4. He filled a sleeping Playfair's hand with shaving cream, then tickled his nose. He is not a good man.
  5. I certainly didn’t notice any improvement in results when he took over, so he hasn’t earned any more time in my opinion, but I would be very surprised if it happened mid season, unless a very highly respected coach showed up on the market.
  6. Pegula has to want to do this..but....the way I hope things are run is JK makes his own moves, he does what he wants. None of this "I want Erhoff" or "I want Ville Leino" of the far past. JK should tell Pegula what he is going to do, but explain it to him like he's talking to a 5th grader. Hopefully it won't be a situation where JK has to ask for permission, rather he just have to give reasons/explain why he is doing stuff. If Pegula decides he wants to chime in with "lets do this" or "lets sign this guy no matter what" and JK disagrees, all he has to do is explain to Pegula why he, and hopefully the entire hockey department, disagree with Terry. Again, for things to work that way though, it is ultimately up to the guy signing the checks.
  7. Apparently the PennySaver doesn't have a sports section.
  8. I think Lindy Ruff is a good person, but I think his time is past. Now that Kevyn is out, I think that Lindy (and the entire coaching staff) needs to be next. My reasoning is this: Lindy has not been effective in getting the most out of this roster. I think the team is capable of making the playoffs as is. I expect Jarmo to make some moves to fill gaps that he sees. But otherwise, we're basically going to keep 80-90% of the current roster. The best way to get rid of the stank of losing and reset the team itself is with a new coach and staff. Fight me.
  9. His blatant mistruths to the fans put him in the weasel category for me. The rest is also true.
  10. You’re the Kevyn Adams of the league.
  11. I was watching it when it happened. Bulldogs eyes popped out of his big ugly face. Lol
  12. I think the best angle on this is that JK did well running a small market team with real money constraints. As such, he likely understands how to "actually" run a small market team with competence. I don't worry about Pegula pitching in more money if he can turn the team around; he is still a hockey fan at heart and has shown a willingness to spend money at times (Dahlin, Power even Eichel and Skinner for that matter) It all comes down to how JK can keep Pegula in the loop while simultaneously running the team like an actual hockey executive person.
  13. Someone just called WGR and said Josh Allen needs to knock up Peyton Krebs.
  14. Well, I said it in other threads... so I'll say it here. Let me know when they are in the playoffs or a playoff position. I respect that it's a change, but this regime has made this change before with no improvement to show for it. The standard has to be held high. I have no ill will towards anyone, but I just need to see results before I will impart any value to this other than being just another change.
  15. Anything is better than, we have to trust our process and go w/ the team we've put on the ice. Such backwards thinking for a guy who should have never been appointed. The only thing that improved somewhat was the drafting of players past the 2nd round over his term. Otherwise, F for his tenure.
  16. That's why my version of the story is way more natural. Anyone in the crowd who knew Jerry immediately gave Smell a high five.
  17. Wow... about two years to late. Hopefully they can turn this into a respectable season. I am surprised they didn't promote ka. Thankfully they didn't
  18. With Kekalainen out of country and no press conference until tomorrow morning, how much is there really to say at this moment?
  19. I think he admitted it when he said that players wouldn’t come because of Palm trees and Taxes. He should have been fired on the spot for that comment.
  20. I get what you're saying, but one team is relevant the other one.... as far away from relevant as imaginable.
  21. I recognize this is a matter of personal opinion, but if one is in over their head and knows it, are they obligated at some point to admit it for the sake of greater good? If so, and they do not admit it, what do we call that person?
  22. Kevyn is a decent guy. Being tasked with giving an opinion of what others are doing in your organization and making recommendations is no different than the job consultants do all the time. It’s not like he eavesdropped on conversations and/or wore disguises to get people to talk to him. He was in over his head and made some unfortunate statements but I would disagree with the term “weasel.”
