  1. Past hour
  2. If an exodus hasn't happened already, it never will. Scratch that, it has happened already. The people who are still here today, I don't think they're going anywhere.
  3. I just did some quick calculator math while looking at last year’s standings. I got 20.7% of games going to overtime. So yeah, we’re up a bit this year. Full disclaimer: I could very easy have made a typo or two while adding up those numbers.
  4. I think if they dont make the playoffs and they run back this guy the exodus will begin....
  5. Maybe it’s an attitude of “we need to take it up a notch so that we can get rid of this waste of space”. Geerston’s contribution to this team is “they can’t get rid of me soon enough”.
  6. Doan is the guy I was most excited about getting this off season... I am not disappointed and after watching him play I actually feel like his ceiling is a bit higher than I originally thought... I could see he developing into a Captain/Assistant someday...
  7. They said months... so that would be December before I was looking for him.... that said... I am not sure what the injury is... but months to me means there is a potential they are conservatively treating him hoping he heals and avoids surgery... so to me there is always the possibility that this time line is pushed back... basically... they said December we will see if that pans out....
  8. Good. Watching the whole team stream out seemed a bit unnecessary, but at least it ended there.
  9. The Sabres inability or refusal to use Doan at 3v3 is another indictment of this coaching staff.
  10. Food for thought
  11. No, last we knew December was the target.
  12. It's not as if anything they practice is permanent though. Just trying to shake things up because they're struggling to score with zucker and benson out. I'd expect that doan-mcleod-tuch line to return again.
  13. Lindy did say he skating on his own Suprised Ellis isn’t starting, I feel he would pitch a shutout against his former team! St. Louis got destroyed last night so they should come out with some fire Play like we did against Utah and we will win this game….hopefully in regulation
  14. Today
  15. Not really. It was a little longer of a break in play as the whole team came out to celebrate, but there wasn’t a ceremony.
  16. There was a statistic given in The Athletic this morning that 28% of the games played so far this season have gone to overtime. That was a surprisingly high figure to me. Also helps explain the bunched up standings.
  17. And 5-1-4 is a Presidents’ Trophy pace. Of course that’s not going fall off a bit.
  18. Yeah, thanks for teaching me all about it
  19. Which return? This one or the fourth one in April?
  20. Was a time table ever given on Norris’ return?
  21. Even 1-0-4 is 0.600, which is playoff pace. In the old 82-game season, that's a 98-point pace.
  22. Sylvester sure thinks so...
  23. we have 13 forwards not counting Kozak, 7 defenders and 3 goalies. That's 23. They need to make a spot if Kozak plays.
  24. At some point, you are going to have to let this go. Some of us got caught up on the moment as the Sabres finally resembled an NHL with camaraderie, toughness and sticking up for one another. It was difficult to figure out why as they only added a few new players so Geertsen was attributed as having an impact. Clearly, it’s something else. Hard to say if it was the addition of Doan and Kesselring (who hadn’t played when this revelation occurred) or something we as fans aren’t privy to. This years team is drastically different. Maybe removing guys who went above and beyond to avoid team toughness exercises, like Peterka. Hard to say exactly what did it but things are different now. That being said, a week from now they’ll probably get bullied by another team and we all tuck our tails between our legs.
  25. I dunno - the lineup said "Projected Lineup" not "practice lines".
