I’d need a bit more back but the idea is solid. -
Jason Robertson rumored to be on the trade block

I think there is no way Dallas says no to that, its just can we get him to waive. And honestly Quinn could flourish in Dallas. But I dont care, we need Marchment here, then you use 9 and prospects to bring in a D man, and still maybe move Byram for a different type of D man -
I wouldn't buy anything in advance. They'll be giving the tix away closer to the event. In the 2016 World Cup of Hockey, ticket prices were pretty jacked up. Undaunted, my friend dropped close to $1000 to take his family of 5 to a Canada game as soon as they were released. He was "lucky" to get those seats, as speculators grabbed the lion's share of them all. Anyhow, as the event went on, it became clear that the speculators overplayed their hand. For the final round robin game, I scooped two seats for $25 each. Long story short, with few if any NHL stars playing, you should easily be able to grab seats at a major discount closer to the actual game.

Jason Robertson rumored to be on the trade block

Per capwages he has a 10-team no trade list. That's 1/3 of the league which means Buffalo is likely on it. If you can convince him to waive the NTC... RFA Quinn with 2 years of control for 1 year of Marchment? Who says no? And if no, what pick(s) balance it out. Dallas gets a kid who can score and has untapped potential and might just pop with another year clear from his injuries and the "no longer in Buffalo" issues; Buffalo gets a another Zucker/Greenway experienced guy. Overpaid, but fully capable of 20 goals and being a punk. He also plays on the edge of safe and will likely get suspended for a couple games, which frankly, this team could use one guy like that. -
Any discussion on Rossi and the Sabres, should include a discussion on who he would replace at centre. Norris makes little sense. While there are question marks on the durability of Norris, the concept of his two-way game means Rossi is not an upgrade. McLeod also makes no sense. McLeod is the ideal 3C who can play up in the line-up, kill penalties and match-up with the opposition’s top line. Kulich…is where Rossi is an upgrade (maybe). Rossi is 31 months older than Kulich, and is coming off a 60 point season, and is the playmaking centre the Sabres don’t have. Rossi (assuming he has another level of offence to come), Norris (healthy), McLeod, and Krebs, could be a pretty solid centre spine. Still real young though. I wonder about a Peterka/Kulich for Rossi/Ohgren trade. I think Minny would need to add. It doesn’t help in the grit or experience categories. I think I would pass on my own idea.

There is only one Sir Jeffrey Skinnington.

I’m going to try and head over. Would like to see GB v US of course, but tickets will be very expensive I think.

https://www.prohockeyrumors.com/2025/06/marco-rossis-contract-demand-becoming-a-roadblock.html#ref=home Rossi allegedly wants 7 yrs 49 million. Minn offering 5 yrs 25 mill. Rossi is 23 with 101 pts in 185 NHL games. He went 24g 36a for 60 pts in 82 games. He’ll be 24 starting next season. Peterka is 23, and won’t turn 24 until next January. He has 150 pts in 234 games including 27g 41a last season. F - Rossi. Keep and pay JJP and find D help.

This is def the type of forward we dont have, id be all over this, especially if we use Quinn to aqcuire a defensman, Marchment would do extremley well here, out Laff and Cliffton, Hello Marchment, although I beleive he has a partial no move -

With next year being an Olympic year, I don't foresee many players going to this.

All these different fan bases thinking JJ Peterka isn't worth what he's worth is maddening. I've seen some of the worst trade speculation ever. It's all due to Adams being a goof.

Brock Nelson resigns in Colorado 3 years 7.5 Million per year Colorado could be in need of some salary cutting trades this off season

Those groups do not seem well balanced.

Sabres announce Jarmo Kekalainen Hired as Senior Advisor

What was the source of the LaFontaine embittered departure? If I recall correctly the buyout included a non-disclosure clause. -

I personally agree with that assessment. Although I was fine to trade Cozens, I would not have moved him for Norris. I like Peterka and think he still has even more potential with good coaching and a good system. I'm not sure the whole league would agree with that though. I think there are many who would be interested in Norris. Utah would be my first phone call. -

Don't trust him to stay healthy. Not worth the risk imo. I've already said I expect next year's excuse to be "if not for injuries" and I'd rather avoid that probability. -

idk I'm just throwing names around. Disgruntled player for an American born player. Colorado wants to win now so I doubt they'd want prospects. While I do not think anyone on Sabres should be untouchable, for me the primary trade capital is Peterka, Quinn, Norris, Byram, Samuelsson. Arguably some of them might not be considered overly valuable after last season but they are young enough that some teams might see upside as well. Add to that picks and the entire Rochester cupboard except Levi. If you can use any of that in any way to improve this roster do it. -
Wasn't he the oldest guy to score a goal like in his 50s? 52 I think.

And he can make that choice. Because then he can decide how he wants to be remembered. Does he want to be Jeff Skinner or Pavel Bure? Both are going to have more than 700 career points (Skinner at 699, and I figure he plays next season regardless of this year's outcome). One of them might even end up with his name on the Stanley Cup. The other is in the Hall of Fame and has 34 career SHG. Neither played much defense. We could throw Satan in as well. Won a Cup, 700 points, 16 career SHG. There are multiple ways to not play defense and still provide value to a roster.
