  1. Past hour
  2. God Speed Art. Fond memories of your show when I was a teenager.
  3. This is disgusting, but par for course for Trump, this convicted felon and sexual abuser. Saw a clip from 2020 where a now deceased Epstein victim gave an interview in which she said Maxwell was even worse than Epstein. So lets reward this convicted sex trafficker and child predator by putting her in a country club jail instead of serving her 20 years in a prison that suits her evil crimes. https://www.rollingstone.com/politics/politics-features/trump-privately-dismissed-epstein-victims-democrats-1235407549/
  4. Isn't it obvious? Custom.
  5. Something tax-related. The Taxman, Tax Consultant, Tax Collector?
  6. https://www.audacy.com/wben/news/local/veteran-buffalo-broadcaster-art-wander-dies-at-98 RIP to the Tiny Tot of the Kilowatt His daughter, Kelley Clem, said Wander was discussing New York Mets baseball with her just the night before his passing. He died with a Buffalo Bills blanket on his bed, a Mets banner nearby, and Frank Sinatra’s "My Way" playing on his Alexa, which she says he affectionately called "Alaska." Wander served in the U.S. Navy, producing radio programs for the Veterans Administration hospital system. In 1956, he joined WKBW radio as a news reporter.
  7. Today
  8. I'd put him at 2C and Tage back to 1C. I like the minutes at 2C better for him with his injury history. I think he's one of the more important players for us in terms of needing him to fill a void.
  9. Political posturing/grandstanding, I think the right wing eats it up. Newsome is hated by many and an easy target. I don't believe trump is vying for a third term, I think he's worried about the midterms. If the left gets the house they'll spend the next two years trying to impeach him, and there's valid reasons to do so.
  10. I'm tempted. What to put where name customization goes...
  11. He said Rob Ray, so I doubt it.
  12. I don't care for Newsom but he's not wrong.
  13. It's okay. I don't mind that you have different views than I, won't tell you you're wrong, and won't judge you for having them.
  14. Nope, no time honored fascist tactics here: https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2025/08/14/trump-data-misinformation/
  15. What you take as hyperbolic fear mongering being funny, I take as a clear warning sign of where we are as an American democracy. I suspect other societies in the throes of fascist authoritarian takeovers in the past thought similar warnings were mere hyperbolic fear mongering as well. Only to be left wondering how it all happened when it was too late.
  16. Nobody would've said boo about the Dudacek pick had it been even a 3rd or 4th rounder. Blowing a 1st rounder on a guy that was MAYBE a 20:1 shot to ever come over to this side of the pond was ridiculous. Heck, Moe-ray-all drafted Tretiak, but only spent a 7th rounder on him, NOT a 1st.
  17. I agree 100% but I cant get past the "that pick hit an iceberg" lol.... I remember being a kid being so hyped for Dudacek he was the next Statsny or something like that... and poor Morris never could come back from the back injury... and yeah, Nylander and Grigorenko were horrid picks.
  18. Another three judge panel where out of 11 judges, seven democratic appointees and four republican appointees, two of the minority four are on it. How are these judges selected to sit on the panels? Appeals court allows Trump administration to resume foreign aid cuts The Hill, by Zack Schofeld A federal appeals court voted 2-1 on Wednesday to lift an order requiring the Trump administration to resume billions of dollars in foreign aid payments. The divided U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit panel found a lower judge erred when he restored the flow of funds in March. Two groups of grant recipients sued over allegations the cancellations infringe on the separation of powers since Congress had appropriated the money, but the panel ruled they can’t bring such a claim. https://thehill.com/regulation/court-battles/5450232-appeals-court-lifts-aid-order/amp/
  19. I laugh because I find the hyperbolic fear mongering funny? I take it as seriously as the 51st state nonsense.
  20. Ya, that pick hit an iceberg didn't it? I knew he'd played a couple games so I looked it up. 19 games in total with zero points. Great name though and yes, I get the joke. If he was in management here we really could rearrange some of those deck chairs. Jiří Dudáček was a failed gamble on Bowman's part that's for sure. I guess karma got us Mogilny later but we jumped the gun on getting those (at the time) communist players out. Nylander's the pick that set us back the most in the current era I'd say. Bust based on bloodlines. Imagine if we'd taken McAvoy instead? Heck, we could have drafted Tage 🙂
  21. I was wondering if he was still around. It’s probably been 15 or so years since I was stuck with the other team’s feed on center ice and I always thought of him as one of the best.
  22. We need some good OT threads to get us through the next month.
  23. Dog days of hockey? Yes. Which begs the question, why are Biron & the Cackler on WGR during the month of August when absolutely nothing hockey related is going on?
  24. Not that I support “road rage”, but if people stopped driving around like a$$holes all the time, maybe there would be less road rage.
  25. I’m in. One suggestion, replace IR spots with IR+ which would allow for a player who is listed as “out” can then be moved to IR+, versus currently where only players who have been officially put on IR can be moved to one of the IR spots.
