At the Knights-Oilers game last night and VGK deserved what they got. Nobody driving to the net, Edmonton keeping them to the outside and boxing out the middle of the ice in the defensive zone. I couldn’t remember one great chance last night where I said wow, that was a great save by Skinner. They looked like the Sabres not driving to the dirty areas and getting people in front of Skinner. I knew the series was over when they lost both home games to start the series, it’s just too hard to come back and try to win 4 of the next 5 with 3 road games. I thought Vegas did a great job on Connor and Leon in a few of the games but I’m getting frustrated by how no teams ever make either one of their lives difficult. These two need to be hit and hit often and put them in uncomfortable spots! I loved it when Charlie McAvory was going after McDavid at the 4 Nations. You want to beat Edmonton then make these 2 earn their space! It’s just sickening like years ago when teams let Patrick Kane dance around and do whatever he wants without destroying him! Dallas vs Florida, hoping that Dallas will play tougher on Connor and Leon. Way too many teams don’t physically abuse either of them!

You’re right. In reality, I would prefer Adams and Lou to just Adams. I just hate that Adams now gets to become his own reclamation project, and gets to hire his own Advisor and Assistant. If Adams were fired and Rob Blake hired and Blake announced that he was bringing in Lou as a Senior Advisor, because what Gm in his right mind would not want to learn whatever he can from Lou, I would be over the moon with excitement. With Adams, it is all just a lame-duck-in-over-his-head-GM clinging to the only job he is going to have in the NHL (unless Pegula keeps him on in some capacity).

Yeah, I’m with Inky here. The population of fans watching so they can make lightning quick travel decisions isn’t fueling the schedule hype. Grown ass men with careers and family breaking down in fine detail the pros and cons of the schedules of teams outside of their rooting favorites for hours. This is well marketed hype that the drooling masses suck up like everything else the league does.

I’m assuming those people aren’t on twitter breaking down the Bills win probability for each game. I’m sure they are just fine with the 8pm schedule release. Gather their info and make plans. It’s the whole narrative of people trying to turn it into an event, like the draft. Except it’s not. It’s just a schedule of when they play.

It's not over the line. There are obvious similarities between them from an operational (not personal) sense. Terry Pegula as an owner is like Dan Snyder without the sleaze character. Both owners dominated their respective franchises in the manner in which each of them ran the organization. Both of these owners placed sycophants in critical positions whose most important attribute was a willingness to acquiesce to their whims. Both of these rich fellows had similar bad results on the field for an extended period of time and both of these misguided owners dramatically eroded their once rabid fanbase into oblivion. And oddly, both owned big boats.

The longer this goes on, the more I think NOBODY is coming as the Senior advisor. Pegula himself will assume the role (since he’s been already doing it).

I’m sorry, TPEGS deserves a lot of criticism but comparing him to Dan Snyder is over the line. The only reason Snyder is not in jail is because he has enough money and influence to buy his way out. Snyder is a scum bag. Terry is by all accounts a decent human being who has made some big mistakes with his hockey team.

That was as sloppy a game as I have ever seen at a professional level (entirely due to both the layoff and the absolutely horrendous condition of the ice).
