  1. Past hour
  2. I don't mind the concept of Social media. Twitter as a place to get information (subscribe to people who put out news, not to interact with them). But my big problem with social media is the interaction. It wouldn't be so bad if it was a place to share ideas. But alas, instead its a megaphone for people to blast their opinion and shout down anyone who doesn't agree with them....with a side of them making not-so-funny jokes as a way to make themselves look clever. Then again, this very message forum is kinda of a cousin to social media (or maybe a precursor.)
  3. I don’t walk away from the wounded. He’s in a self-induced state of manic-depression. I’m trying to uplift him. He’s resisting. I will not walk away from this challenge until I consider him to be a complete lost cause. He’s not there yet but he’s getting close to that line.
  4. Except they are immediately deviating from the path. If you want to be harder to play against, bringing in 4 bottom of the roster players ain’t gonna cut it. They need guys that are going to log serious minutes to be the worst humans you’ve ever met. Booger Sugar Quinn and my dad was also a large soft player Samuelsson are the problem. Get these passengers off the team.
  5. Fixed that for you.
  6. They’ve rushed so many players in recent years. I like seeing a few guys left to simmer a bit now. I know some might take issue, but I think it’s better for most players.
  7. He says on social media unironically. 😉
  8. Grown men on social media.
  9. The Sabres will be eliminated by thanksgiving yet again. Rinse repeat.
  10. Ya I think thats the deal to make Fowler and Neighbors, can we use Tage, Kesserling, Doan, and the USA connection to get him to waive? I dont know Cause he has a 4 team trade list so thats really restrictive
  11. Yeah, they’re both small and play a fearless dog-on-a-bone game. That’s the extent of it.
  12. I think the Blues are looking to add to Broberg for their D corps moving forward, not replace him. The reason they want Byram is because Broberg is really the only top 4 D in their system between the ages of 20 and 30. But they have scads of interesting young forwards. Fowler is 33 and a UFA next summer. The Blues only gave up a 2nd to get him. He played really well for them, but I think they move him and Nieghbours for Byram all day. But I doubt He waives for Buffalo. I feel like he already has refused to earlier in his career.
  13. Are we sure its 4 he's willing to go to and not just block 4 teams? We could still try to convince him since he's from Windsor however.
  14. Two things can be simultaneously correct: that they still have those guys on the roster AND they have fewer easier to play against types this year versus last. It has to be Ruff pushing this move toward shaping a roster this way. His predecessor and Adams back then certainly weren't. My hope is that adding players like Kesselring, Danforth, and Doan (if he gets to the big club) provide the on-ice example to play this way and not the apathetic style we've seen. It ain't the top-6 forward or major shake-up I'd hoped for, but at this point it's the path they've chosen.
  15. And also, who is out there advocating to be easier to play against. It goes without saying that you’re trying to improve your roster and you want to be more difficult to play against. Or maybe it’s just so damn hot down here in Florida that I’m getting the palm tree madness and I can’t think clearly.
  16. Today
  17. It's better for Johnson's development to play heavy minutes in Rochester vs the spot duty Bryson is getting in Buffalo.
  18. Fowler has a 4 team trade list. My guess is that the Sabres are not one of the 4 teams he would accept a trade to. The Sabres would need a D back I think. And the Blues would need to shed some space to extend Byram. Would Broberg be a good partner for Dahlin? Broberg and Neighbors for Byram and…
  19. blocking works wonders.
  20. That's just it - he wants to be able to claim total credit in doing for the Sabres what his employees did for the Bills and Bandits. This is what Sabres fans are stuck with.
  21. What could Chevy have even done? You know…aside from make the playoffs 8 times
  22. What!? But Jeannot got 5 years? Unless the Bruins defense drags them to the playoffs I think you're right
  23. Maybe his checking game but that about it.
  24. Each +1 or -1 is a standard deviation away from the mean. Above they are better than 50% of the league, below they are worse. Also this is a rough explanation and if someone understands it better, go for it.
  25. I’m older than you are Mr. Youngster. You have become a frantic fan who buys a ticket just to boo. Freaking calm down and cool off. You are loosing your marbles over a bloody game. You need to tune out for a tad to get your stressed out batteries recharged.
  26. Technically, they both did. Which one WILL be harder to play against is the Q it seems you were trying to ask.
  27. This "harder to play against" narrative makes me laugh. Sweeney in Boston saying exactly the same thing. "We want to be harder to play against". So Sabres add Kesselring and Doan. Bruins add Jeannot, Eyssimont, Kuraly and already have Zadorov and Kastelic. I do not expect either team to make the playoffs, but who actually became harder to play against?
