  1. Past hour
  2. Day after Thanksgiving..
  3. That he prefers ranch to blue cheese dressing.
  4. Yet Pegula has directed a lot of changes in 15 years. Tanks and tear downs and firings have been common. Yet, since Covid, TP has stuck with Adams. It feels like 6 years of not trying.
  5. Getting at and then above .500 with a win streak would be nice. They did this crap the past couple of years and specifically last year, they would get to .500 and lose games never getting above .500 so frusterating!
  6. If it’s not Lyon then I will choose to believe he pissed off the org with his comments
  7. Does today start the much needed winning streak? Who plays in net?
  8. Nice pun, sort of. Succession plan with no success.
  9. This thread name needs to be updated after every loss. 😂
  10. What else would you wear on Black Friday?
  11. Dudley is totally the guy I have wanted here going back to Rieger... But to your point... Dudley would force change and make people uncomfortable and not cowtow to Pegula and Pegula would likely rather lose than go thru that to be successful... at least based on his actions of the last 14 years.
  12. Today
  13. Even given the contract situation I might still go with Byram. Straight up, no doubt imo. I wonder if we could get Byram for less than the Power deal or similar? I can’t see a team signing Byram to $8 M per long term. Maybe. 🤷🏼‍♂️ But Power being under contract control for the longer period might also increase his trade value (or not; depending on how teams see him lol) Bill Parcells used to say, “If they don’t bite as pups, they aren’t likely to ever bite.” That may well be Power. Unless he gets with a tough, quality defender/teammate who pushes him to get tough.
  14. It’s the Mandela Effect.
  15. Everyone should replay this video starting just before the 7 minute mark. Adams is not a leader of men.
  16. I watched that game today. Amerks were dominated the first two periods.
  17. True, but perhaps they have big egos and think more highly of their chances. It's all just speculative and maybe it's other things entirely. I mean I find myself thinking Power just isn't that interested in being a hockey player but maybe he wants to play himself off the team too. idk. The only thing I know for certain, because you see it in games, is too many of these guys take shifts or whole nights off and all too often they are too soft on plays. The inconsistencies result in losses. I mean we can even add Dahlin. Sure, great D man. Very talented. Build a franchise around him. BUT also recognize he's 4th in the league (recent stats I saw on twitter) in defensive zone giveaways. The team all too often is sloppy, undisciplined, inconsistent, and sometimes lacking in effort. Details matter, and details are killing them every year.
  18. Rochester played like dog poop on Wednesday and Coach Leone let them hear about it postgame. “It was honestly probably the worst game we’ve played since I’ve been the coach here,” Leone said. “We’re a team that gives up 26 shots a game. We gave up I don’t even know; it felt like 50 (officially 40).” “There’s a standard around here on how we need to play,” Leone said. “Honestly it felt like we were a PeeWee hockey team; we couldn’t pass the puck, we just had too many turnovers on (zone) exits.” https://pickinsplinters.com/2025/11/26/a-night-to-forget-for-the-amerks-it-felt-like-we-were-a-peewee-team/ Amerks back at it at home Friday hosting the Crunch, who are now in first place in the North Division. Roch two points out and tied for third.
  19. Pickens is a UFA at season’s end and it crossed my mind that he could be a good target. Outside receiver with elite Yards per Reception. With that said, hindsight is 20:20 on your trade snark. Pickens wore out his welcome in Pitt over two years as he was criticized multiple times for lacking effort on the field. The last time was toward the end of the second season due to not run blocking and his response was he was attempting to avoid injury. I could just as easily see him crashing back down to earth with effort and process when he’s no longer in a contract year…
  20. Not defending ESPN, but slightly defending the author Greg Wyshynski. He has been a great writer (formerly Yahoo & The Athletic). I enjoyed this one. https://www.espn.com/nhl/story/_/id/47100079/nhl-2025-26-thanksgiving-playoffs-standings-panic-rankings-index
  21. When you remove ENG it’s 70 in 2025 vs 66 in 2024. Net 6 less than looking at team GA but still more. And FWIW if you look at XGA, it’s 70/64. And we know the PK is much improved, so more 5v5 goals in those numbers. Obviously it’s a 5 man effort in those numbers but still surprising. https://www.naturalstattrick.com/playerteams.php?fromseason=20242025&thruseason=20242025&stype=2&sit=all&score=all&stdoi=g&rate=n&team=BUF&pos=S&loc=B&toi=0&gpfilt=gpdate&fd=2024-10-01&td=2024-11-29&tgp=410&lines=single&draftteam=ALL
  22. Happy to see Samuelsson, mainly over anything staying healthy. In his rookie season the Sabres were a better more stable team on the ice. So keep it up Muel.
