  1. Past hour
  2. Talk about apples to oranges Harrington. Fans have wanted to dump prospects for real NHL players for years. Fans also wanted to move especially from some of the Smaller forward draftees. What fans didn’t like was getting a 3rd line forward for a top 10 draft pick. This is completely different trade. We gave away the better player, an emerging elite forward for decent RHD and a young forward who doesn’t score goals and may only ever be a 4th line forward. We didn’t get good value for a 23 year 1st line forward. Also for all Adams moves last year, the team regressed even if McLeod and Zucker played well. So could this work out? Sure it could, but the team trading away the better player rarely “wins” the deal.
  3. That’s how I’m taking this trade as a wait and see approach. I think Kulich has an elite level shot as well and will earn more playing time now that Peterka is gone! Let’s all get one thing straight, if Peterka didn’t want to be here then getting rid of him is something that has to happen but the return on the trade is where fans get pissed. Buffalo isn’t a major destination where players want to go and if you don’t know this by now you need help!
  4. Just do what you should have done 2 years ago: make the kids earn their ice time and surround them with people who live to that standard on and off the ice. Thought struck me while watching the Kesselring/Doan videos: those are two kids who have fought through some adversity to get to where they are, something that too few of Kevyn's kids went through.
  5. Albert Kesselring was the General that led the very successful German defence of Italy during 1944 or so.
  6. I think there is a curve with most Sabres transactions. Big time negative reactions out of the box, then once folks analyze what happened, it calms down. But I do recall a lot of "WTF are the Sabres doing" right off on social media over trading Savoie.
  7. Seems like a cool guy. His description of Doan is interesting.
  8. Funny how different people take things differently. I didn’t get the sense that Harrington was telling anyone to shut up. Instead I took it as let’s wait a bit and we might be just be surprised again.
  9. I think they are waiting for February 30.
  10. When a guy named Kesselring wants to be part of "the solution"
  11. Yep that’s what we’ll find out. Not sure JJ will continue at a 14% shooting rate either or put up the points he did last year with a C not as good as tage??
  12. Not sure how you can watch the cup finals and want to add Rossi. Team needs beef
  13. IF this guy is ####ing Smehlik-Clears-it-Not-Out fire him into the sun right ####ing now. (Pretty sure he ain't. But if he is, ftg.)
  14. Not sure he is a 2nd line D man and not sure on Doan as a 3rd line player. I hope it turns out differently and both play important minutes to push the team into the playoffs.
  15. Don't really hate it , but can't love it right now. LIke I said I wanted at least 9th for 4th swap in there too.
  16. I don't know. I doubt they would send him to Roch. They'd trade him first. But that buyout is pretty painless.
  17. That's it, no, "Well it depends" craps. No, "well, I want to wait ten years and see how it plays out" garbage. Man up, (Or person up, whatever) and just vote. No one will hold your vote against you, ok?
  18. So, are we now officially to the point of Adams tenure when he tries to do the "correct" or maybe better version of the Tim Murray portion of the post-suffering Sabres GM? Because the run of the Darcy Regier "there will be suffering" but this time we'll do it correctly or maybe better portion of the show seems to have ended last off-season with the Savoie trade and the 2nds for 4th liners trades. As the Sabres are no longer necessarily getting younger with every trade, it does seem that portion of the show is finally done. Or maybe we're in the portion of the suffering plan that Regier got punted before having an opportunity to implement? The, we'll trade the incredible talent we've acquired through the past few years to fill the other holes in the roster that come from only drafting skill at the top with little to no grit to go with it. Wonder if Adams gets his Botterill we're going to completely change direction of what type of players we want to build around time too or if he finally gets punted / promoted before then? In any case, can the ride finally end? Can we finally wake up from the nightmare? Is it finally February 3?
  19. I have a better idea, how about i just confirm my initial statement without you misinterpreting it. Eichel, ROR, Reinhart, Montour played well in Buffalo and didn't regress once they left.
  20. Adams didn’t thank him in his release either lol do they hate the guy?
