  1. Past hour
  2. What’s the consensus on Metsa? Anyone like what they saw last night?
  3. Are you suggesting Benson isn’t a playmaker or am I misunderstanding the context here?
  4. Costanza I Shall Do The Opposite?
  5. I hate the Dodgers with a passion and root for them to lose. I’m rooting for the Jays big time, but they will be lucky if they don’t get swept.
  6. Östlund allows Buffalo to deploy the lines better. It also gives you another center to flip with McLeod in certain situations. It's tactically flexible.
  7. The only place people view him negatively is in Sabre land. He’s a very gifted offensive defenseman that teams would give up a lot for. A team needing a PP QB and number one dman. He can step in immediately and provide that to any team needing one.
  8. Thank you for sayjng it for me better than I would have. Sabres fans always think their yard sale junk is gonna bring top dollar.
  9. That post is from November 2024, right before the wheels fell off before the November skid. Power ended up finishing 17th in even strength points by defensemen last year and was one of 3 players in the top 25 who had a +/- in the negative. At this point if you're trading him you're paying a team to take that contract off your hands and you're not going to get anywhere close to fair value of what you'd want from a former 1OA pick.
  10. Not sure we would get a “haul” for him. Even if another GM believes he can polish a turd into a diamond, he’s not going to pay much when Power is at his lowest value. Maybe we get a top 6 forward, but in reality we’d get a bunch of spare part cap dumps.
  11. Results won't change until changes are made. They have maybe 2 weeks before the season is lost if they keep the pace of 2wins 4losses.
  12. What does this even mean? Friedman noted the organization has set up easy internal moves on the management side, which adds to the sense that changes could come if results do not turn.
  13. https://www.nhltraderumors.me/2025/10/pete-deboer-sabres-coach-rumor.html Friedman mentions Sabres have discussed DeBoer.
  14. This is just not true. https://www.reddit.com/r/hockey/s/ceu1TDkM3L
  15. Power was rushed into the lineup way too early as a teenager and for all the complaining we do about prospects that were thrust into the NHL before they were ready, I do don’t recall seeing much of that with regards to Power. He is literally developing on the job as he continues to grow into his man body. That said, he is already a very good offensive D man. Get back to me in a couple years.
  16. I still can't believe the contract Adams gave him. OP is almost untradeable, the only thing he has is his draft pedigree.
  17. I completely disagree. Östlund’s upside and skill level would have enhanced the lineup and given us a better chance to win than 6 minutes of Geertsen and Dunne.
  18. As long as Adams is GM, we're on the Power timeline. Just wait until he's 25. Then we'll all see! The issues are -- there are great young offensive defensemen everywhere these days, just draft one for yourself. Power will never get the point production to increase his trade value or justify his contract unless Dahlin is hurt. As we saw last season, when Dahlin is out, Power doesn't exactly elevate his game. He doesn't have intensity.
  19. I didn’t even watch. Just a general comment about Power’s game.
  20. Today
  21. Couple schools of thought... a tiger doesnt change his stripes... and he is really young lets see what happens when he plays with a complimentary defender... My thought.... I have said repeatedly the I am not against trading anyone as long as we get the best player in the trade.... So sure trade him if you are getting the best player in the deal... I think we all know that this is not happening... as we won't have stars with no trade clauses looking to come here... so its we get lesser pieces and picks... 2nd. Kevyn Adams is still GM and I dont want him trading anyone... so, I guess I am a no.
  22. That's typical for a battery these days (for a non-hybrid). I got the battery replaced on my wife's Escape this summer (one month after the warrant expired naturally). O'Reilly says they replace batteries but I'm not sure they knew what they were getting into when they did the Escape. The battery is up against the firewall, beneath the cowl, which had to be removed, which meant pulling the windshield wipers. Not actually that hard of a job but significantly more involved that undoing the battery clamp and dropping a new one in. I then remembered that the reason we went to the repair shop last time is O'Reilly said it wasn't a simple replacement and they couldn't do it for free. But they did this time.
  23. Power didn't play a bad game last night. Why is he being singled out? I'm not saying he was superb but it wasn't at a negative level where he should be highlighted. In this game, Montreal was the better team. They were the faster and quicker team while we were the lagging team. (That's how I saw it. Others might have seen it differently.) If it weren't for the play of Lyon, the Sabres would have been overwhelmed.) He wasn't the only player who at times was out of place.
  24. Truthfully - Adams shouldn't be allowed to trade him. Let a new GM come in and evaluate.
  25. Power looked lost multiple times last night.
  26. He looked pretty terrible most of last night, and almost had a goal so i'd say thats a pretty spot on analysis. He played ok against Florida, but in this one he's just missing passes, passing misses, i don't even know, but the puck off his stick didn't go to anyone but montreal players.
