If you made not a single post about releasing the Epstein files during the entirety of the Biden administration, you never really cared about the victims. You never really cared about sexual predators being brought to justice. You're screaming EPSTEIN now because you are hoping there's something in the files that will force Trump out of office. If you were silent all those years before, your fake outrage now is insincere and laughable.

I'm even less elite, but depending on the game, I'd join too. I have a personal boycott on the team where I won't buy tickets until they're in a playoff position, but if I pay up prior to the season starting, they're technically neither in or out.

I’m not in the elite tier here, and I also haven’t interacted personally with many folks here, but I would join our group for a game if this came together.

After some self-reflection and introspection into this topic, I came to a realization. For the past few years, I’ve blamed my declining interest in the Sabres on their continued poor play for so many consecutive seasons. I realized today, that the timeline of my declining support/fandom coincides with RJ. As a kid, I watched the start of most games on TV with my parents, and fell asleep to his voice on the radio at bedtime. As a teen, I began making a point to watch every single game, even if it was a recording, around 1997. In 2005, I started driving from Rochester to Buffalo for about 20 games a year, and stopped doing that in 2019 when I didn’t see an end in the ineptitude - I felt invested in the team, but didn’t feel it was being reciprocated. During the 22-23 season, after RJ retired, I missed some games for the first time. Then RJ died. In 23-24, I watched maybe half the games. Last season, I only saw a handful of games, and a lot of times I didn’t even know when they were playing. It’s sad. It’s almost a crime to me that RJ never got to hoist the Cup, and that the Sabres had to play such terrible, directionless, passionless hockey in front of him for the final 14 years of his life.

It’s been a bit but Taro mentioned to me that a meetup might be in order. I thought I’d guage interest. I can get up to eight tickets but I’d need to know which game by next Saturday. The Epstein files aren’t just about Trump, although that’s the biggest reason why Bondi & Co. lied about them. The Epstein files are about exposing and bringing to justice every pedophile sexual abuser involved. Have you read any of what the victims had to say? I thought Republicans were all about victim rights.

I understand workplace politics and who knows what specific DOJ workplace policies are in effect. I was merely pointing out that the employee was exercising protected speech and that Bondi overreacted by firing the employee. Yes, it is free speech. She was not arrested or cited, her civil liberties were not infringed upon. Her employer determined that the act was inappropriate in the work place and/or decided that such people are not who that want representing them. Absolutely nothing to do with "free speach"
