  1. Past hour
  2. Is NHL GM the toughest GM job of all the sports? You win (or lose) the Stanley cup and literally have to start thinking about resigning players, the draft and free agency immediately
  3. Today
  4. On individual player scouting, on strategy, on evaluation, yeah, the team's management probably knows multiple times more than the average fan. But on what general direction the team should take? is it time to buy or sell near the deadline? is it a point in the offseason to rebuild or to go 'all in'. The start player who 30 years old, do you give him a long term deal or not? A lot of those things are 50-50 choices...coin flip things whether they work out one way or the other. The 'average fan' can think they know more than the team's management because a lot of time the 'average fan' has a 50 percent chance of making the 'right' long term decision while the management has 50% chance of making the wrong one.
  5. Exactly. The journey is supposed to be the best part and that particular film left a lot to be desired
  6. The answer is in the room😁
  7. But they found him in less than 2 hour runtime of the movie.
  8. I have a bad feeling that the answer is going to be Bernard-Docker....that's the best Mr. Incompetent GMKA can do.
  9. Can we afford (or want to pay) both him and UPL? They would make a pretty good 1-2 and it would allow Levi another year at least in Rochester where I think he needs to be.
  10. Power is still young for a defenseman. Ekblad, also a #1 pick, put up just 21 points and was a -23 in his third full season.
  11. The Bills were like that 2/3rds of the existence . LOL. I'm an old guy who was born into a Bills season ticket family. 1 win in 1968 and 1971. I sat through many seasons where winning a home game came as a shock.
  12. Yesterday
  13. Are the Sabres profitable? I really don't know. If they can be this bad for this long and still be profitable, what does that say about the management of the team? Do they have a huge incentive to win and make the playoffs? I understand that Terry Pegula has a lot on his plate with his wife's health, his daughters and their lives, the Bills, his other businesses, etc. I don't think he is a bad man. I just think he should hire the right people to run the Sabres so that he can focus elsewhere. And if he doesn't (he hasn't yet obviously), he needs to keep trying until he gets the right person(s).
  14. Completely disagree. you give 25 NHL mgmt teams / owners Dahlin, Eichel, Reinhart and Thompson (not to mention Ullmark) and they turn that into a legit contender for playoffs every year. At least 10, turn them into cup contenders.
  15. https://www.nhltraderumors.me/2025/06/nhl-trade-rumors-canucks-have-price-tag.html Quinn for Demko then send UPL somewhere else? I desperately want them to bring in a different starting goalie.
  16. You are having a good time mocking me. It’s apparent to all that I’m out of step and out of tune. True story: In grammar school at graduation my malicious music teacher told me not to sing at the ceremony but to just mouth the words and fake singing. 😀
  17. Maybe, I was just looking at the transactions pages from the NHL.
  18. Hit the nail on the head... but you knew that as soon as 7-6-13 gave you the old eye roll LOL ... validation for sure lol 😆
  19. There is no band Internal Disgruntlement. I was joking. I mean, maybe there is, but they certainly don’t have 3 albums. I mean, maybe they do, but the third one certainly isn’t a masterpiece. I mean, maybe it is, but I’ve never heard it.
  20. Ecklund has Byrum being traded to Philadelphia. Not sure what they have that we might want. Of course it’s Ecklund so it’s not likely to happen.
  21. I thought Brännström signed in Switzerland?
  22. I certainly wouldn’t
  23. The fun of being a Sabres fan: -NHL player transactions (trades, signings, extensions, etc): In the past week, 26 of them. 0 from the Sabres. -Since June 1 (last 3 weeks). NHL total transactions, 57 of them (mostly re-signings, a few trades). 0 from the Sabres. -Since the beginning of May, there is ONE Sabres player transaction, Signing D Erik Brannstrom to a three-year contract. The rest of the NHL well over 100. I mean, I'm not a person to say make a move the the sake of it, but there really isn't much to talk about here lately. You would think the team that has the longest playoff drought would be one of them that would be wanting to make the most moves to change things.
  24. His partner is on a different team. Send him there. Because he’s gettin traded
  25. Ya Rangers the deal all day is Schneider and Cuylle and I’d even add if they wanted to get that
  26. K Miller isn’t good; I’ll yell it from the tallest building if I must. Chad D compared him to Muel saying he’s just going to be a higher paid Muel. Plus based on Rangers fans history; they aren’t exactly fond of his performance. Plus they actually are willing to trade him which obviously is a reason not to acquire him. After all anything of any value is off limits to Ranger Fans As mentioned, Cirelli’s NTC kicks in July 1st I have no interest in trading a Top 6 winger with potential for a goalie coming off a serious injury with 1 year left on his deal.
