Just want to say it's a league wide trend. Especially with D.
-
Well yes, that's definitely a possibility. It's also possible he's just old and burned out (relatively speaking) and most of the team doesn't have the sort of reverence for him that Tuch has. Whether he's too old, out of touch or just bad really doesn't matter. Bottom line is he did a bad job last year but no coach here has done a good job under Pegula have they. In my opinion the biggest problem however is not enough veterans who already know how to play the right way. Guys who basically coach themselves (and their team mates). Constant stream of young guys requires very good assistant coaches and lots of one on one time between them and we just don't have that. Head coach can't do his job properly and also babysit and mentor all these youngsters. So for me, it's a wider organizational problem that they seem to fail to recognize.

Looks like Tarzan, plays like Jane.

Hutton was half blind Comrie hasn’t amounted to being a starter - anywhere - not just in Buffalo. Adams takes shots in the dark at fixing the position and also handcuffs his own bets by assembling the rest of the team with the poor logic he uses to handle the goaltending position. It would be a stretch to think his ineptitude wouldn’t conform to the shape of the roster in totality when it’s as mobile, unstoppable, and fluid as water the goalies have been bad. The talent around them has also been bad. We don’t need to pigeonhole problems when you are historically bad: there’s room for them all, it’s a big party! You are doing too much when you eliminate blame, you’ll find some under every overturned stone when you are the worst team of all time

What goes up when the rain goes down

A bunch of guys that feel the rain first. I hope bigger means meaner.

Real shift at the top of the Amerks lineup: Murray, Jobst, Clague and Rousek represent veteran stability and 4 of the teams top 6 scorers. One of Bryson or Zach Jones should replace Clague on what seems a stable blueline. But up front new faces Leschsyshyn is a checker and Geertsen a thug. Carson Meyer will probably get top 6 minutes, but it looks like more responsibility for Neuchev, Wahlberg and Helenius as the team pushed them to take a step in the top 6. Östlund should continue in the 1C role he grabbed after Christmas.

Not sure there is a bigger collection of defencemen in the league right now than what the Sabres have, both on the ice and in the pipeline. Power 6’6” Kesselring 6’5” Samuelsson 6’4” Timmins 6’3” Dahlin 6’3” Byram 6’1” Mrtka 6’6” Kleber 6’6” Bedkowski 6’5” Novikov 6’4” Komarov 6’4” McCarthy 6’3” Strbak 6’2” Is this intentional? Does it matter?

Only the most dangerous my a$$. The lack of humanity and common decency is astounding. https://www.latimes.com/california/story/2025-08-14/an-l-a-area-high-school-senior-was-walking-his-dog-then-ice-agents-grabbed-him

So in other words people need to stop being people? Good luck with that.

He passed... and it was intercepted. Ptooeeyyy! Enough with this garbage! Too soon? Taking me back to days when the Bills and Sabres meant so much more to me. You hung on every word, because words were a rarer commodity. Chil'ren, this was before the Internet.

If you want to be a PEDO, rapist, murderer, you want to steal from people, you want to destroy things. All you have to do is say you support Trump and you get a free ticket to do it all. Its why there is still so many MAGA. They are those types of people.

Bills brought the physicality, Dolphins are soft as baby *****.

Neither has the history of the NHL 🙁

I’d give them a 3rd.

Sport gamblers that lose money on bets are harassing profession athletes to get their money back. Having known a gambler like this who demanded money from me I am not surprised. https://www.gamblingnews.com/news/brady-tkachuk-says-harassment-over-gambling-must-stop/ Tkachuk has joined a growing choir of voices that have called for the end of abuse against professional athletes, often fueled by losing wagers. ESPN’s Greg Wyshynski interviewed Tkachuk and spoke about his experience with such online abusers. Tkachuk did not hold the bag. He said people were constantly sniping at him for certain plays that didn’t come up with the bookie, accusing him of bearing responsibility, or even demanding refunds. He even had to change his Venmo account as online harassment continued on the platform. Tkachuk also said that he was surprised to find out that people would ask him for money because their bets didn’t come through, and confirmed that he would never pay back a gambler. He found the whole thing “funny,” that a fan or someone who bets on the sport would hold players to account for not making a certain play because said person had money riding on the fact.

Yes absolutely. Said that in a follow up post. The coaching and the general team philosophy since Bylsma has been offense first. I was surprised Ruff didn't teach and bring in a more detailed defensive system but maybe (going out on the optimism limb) the Euro trip messed all that up. Maybe with a full camp they can bring in a properly structured defensive system. Then we see if these guys are willing to play it and can play it. This team hasn't had good defensive structure in a really really long time.
