The history of the nhl is a short goalies can’t play guy. It’s not that he can’t be one of the rare exceptions that prove the rule, but refusing to state outright that he’s facing far more of an uphill battle than others who have come before him and posted good numbers in lower leagues when shooters can’t expose weaknesses is foolish It is unlikely Levi becomes a very good nhl goalie - that’s just the reality. Will be awesome if he proves, I won’t say me wrong, if he proves the logical stance wrong

You’re correct. I forgot about his first year pro over here. Still took him until his 4th year before he arrived as an NHL full-timer and his 7th before he played 40 games. Levi has played 2 pro seasons. Goalies take time.

For what it's worth, I thought that when Johnson played a bunch of games with the Sabres a couple of seasons ago, he looked pretty decent, especially for young, inexperienced player. I have not watched him play in Rochester, nor do I have any insight on training camp, but from what I saw, he looked like a player with a promising future. From the handful of games Rosen has played in Buffalo in the last couple of seasons, he's shown nothing. He's been good at the AHL level, but he may be one of those guys that is simply not destined for a NHL career. I'd love to see him break out this season, but I haven't seen anything yet that would indicate future success at the NHL level.

Why does it seem that most teams have TWO goalies that can play starter level most of the time? I mean, how is Buffalo ever going to make a push if they don't even have one they can rely on. Maybe it is just because Buffalo is so inept that they continually make back-up goalies look superior year after year. Can you imagine how bad their record would have been if they constantly played against the starters?

Two year commitment with taxes $110 a month(price locked in for 24 months) including Disney+ bundle(with Hulu & ESPN) which we currently pay for. Current Spectrum cost…$185, just for TV….and they won’t budge even a nickel.

I will always follow the Sabres as I have from day 1, game 1. Unless they leave Buffalo. They I will leave them, like I did with the NBA Clippers. I will voice my dissatisfaction at poor management and poor play, as is my right to do so. I will applaud excellence too. I consider myself to be a very fair critic. I will not harass die hard Sabres fans, such as the ones who post here, for being surly or negative, especially given the organization’s performance in the past 15 years.

NHL preseason vs NFL preseason? I'll take NHL preseason 100% of the time over the NFL. Even when I was a big NFL fan, when I 'liked' it more than hockey, I always dreaded their preseason games. Soooooo boring.

I agree they should move on from them as neither looks like an NHL regular. I’m just leery how the Sabres would accomplish it. I guess just pick the dumbest most senseless way and that’s what this team will do.
