  1. Past hour
  2. Looking forward to watching Norris play 50 games next year and Ottawa choosing one of Liger’s Favorite Draft Eligible Prospects at 37th Overall
  3. That is really lowball offer tbh, Fowler and Neighbours for Byram, Kyrou should be coming back in any trade with Stlouis for Byram.
  4. Adams is probably finding out the players he wants for Byram have the Sabres listed behind Compton..
  5. Also, it doesn't have to be binary, or maybe it does but in a different way. Sure, it would be great to have a hard nosed, hard-to-play against guy who is also skilled and can play with finesse, but not everyone is built that way. It doesn't have to be a problem through. For example, maybe you put a guy like Power on the ice with the other 'type' of guys, enough of them, so he doesn't have to play that 'tougher' game....and it allows his skills to flourish. Despite his size, it may not always be a bad thing if a guy is super-skilled and you put enough of the other type of guys in the team so he doesn't even have to put a thought to that type of game, and it allows him to just do what he does best. Hasn't Lindy said over and over and over you need some tough guys, some 'enforcers' maybe, to give the other guys more room to play their game?
  6. Most things have a good concept but then are quickly ruined by humanity.
  7. It's either that or porn..
  8. I don't mind the concept of Social media. Twitter as a place to get information (subscribe to people who put out news, not to interact with them). But my big problem with social media is the interaction. It wouldn't be so bad if it was a place to share ideas. But alas, instead its a megaphone for people to blast their opinion and shout down anyone who doesn't agree with them....with a side of them making not-so-funny jokes as a way to make themselves look clever. Then again, this very message forum is kinda of a cousin to social media (or maybe a precursor.)
  9. I don’t walk away from the wounded. He’s in a self-induced state of manic-depression. I’m trying to uplift him. He’s resisting. I will not walk away from this challenge until I consider him to be a complete lost cause. He’s not there yet but he’s getting close to that line.
  10. Except they are immediately deviating from the path. If you want to be harder to play against, bringing in 4 bottom of the roster players ain’t gonna cut it. They need guys that are going to log serious minutes to be the worst humans you’ve ever met. Booger Sugar Quinn and my dad was also a large soft player Samuelsson are the problem. Get these passengers off the team.
  11. Fixed that for you.
  12. They’ve rushed so many players in recent years. I like seeing a few guys left to simmer a bit now. I know some might take issue, but I think it’s better for most players.
  13. He says on social media unironically. 😉
  14. Grown men on social media.
  15. The Sabres will be eliminated by thanksgiving yet again. Rinse repeat.
  16. Ya I think thats the deal to make Fowler and Neighbors, can we use Tage, Kesserling, Doan, and the USA connection to get him to waive? I dont know Cause he has a 4 team trade list so thats really restrictive
  17. Yeah, they’re both small and play a fearless dog-on-a-bone game. That’s the extent of it.
  18. I think the Blues are looking to add to Broberg for their D corps moving forward, not replace him. The reason they want Byram is because Broberg is really the only top 4 D in their system between the ages of 20 and 30. But they have scads of interesting young forwards. Fowler is 33 and a UFA next summer. The Blues only gave up a 2nd to get him. He played really well for them, but I think they move him and Nieghbours for Byram all day. But I doubt He waives for Buffalo. I feel like he already has refused to earlier in his career.
  19. Are we sure its 4 he's willing to go to and not just block 4 teams? We could still try to convince him since he's from Windsor however.
  20. Today
  21. Two things can be simultaneously correct: that they still have those guys on the roster AND they have fewer easier to play against types this year versus last. It has to be Ruff pushing this move toward shaping a roster this way. His predecessor and Adams back then certainly weren't. My hope is that adding players like Kesselring, Danforth, and Doan (if he gets to the big club) provide the on-ice example to play this way and not the apathetic style we've seen. It ain't the top-6 forward or major shake-up I'd hoped for, but at this point it's the path they've chosen.
  22. And also, who is out there advocating to be easier to play against. It goes without saying that you’re trying to improve your roster and you want to be more difficult to play against. Or maybe it’s just so damn hot down here in Florida that I’m getting the palm tree madness and I can’t think clearly.
  23. It's better for Johnson's development to play heavy minutes in Rochester vs the spot duty Bryson is getting in Buffalo.
  24. Fowler has a 4 team trade list. My guess is that the Sabres are not one of the 4 teams he would accept a trade to. The Sabres would need a D back I think. And the Blues would need to shed some space to extend Byram. Would Broberg be a good partner for Dahlin? Broberg and Neighbors for Byram and…
  25. blocking works wonders.
  26. That's just it - he wants to be able to claim total credit in doing for the Sabres what his employees did for the Bills and Bandits. This is what Sabres fans are stuck with.
  27. What could Chevy have even done? You know…aside from make the playoffs 8 times
