  1. Past hour
  2. Don't worry, bombing ppl isn't socialism and neither is giving massive amounts of money to the wealthy... but free school lunch, that's socialism and we should all be afraid. If this country spent even 10% of its bomb budget on supporting its citizens we'd be far safer and far more prosperous overall but hey, let's go to war with Iran because it's 2003 and they have wmd's. Good thing Obama didn't negotiate a deal to keep Iran from building nukes that trump pulled out of because he's the dumbest president in history.
  3. Today
  4. What a load of 💩 I really do believe that Addams thinks he is out thinking the press. The is an absolute hollow vessel. He gets all riled up when someone touches a nerve and his okilly dokilly mask slips just a little more. Clown.
  5. I don't think the "plan" is anything complicated or hard to figure out. They don't take responsibility for the situation they created or try to change it they just take it as a given that players don't want to come there. Thus they stripped it down and started over trying to get players who "wanted to be there" (and there aren't many) so the plan is save the money until it's "needed later" and draft their own players that they have some control over and let the team "grow together" until they have drafted enough talent to win. They think it's that simple and that's the plan. Total faith in the draft and their kids. That's it. That's all. They expected it to happen last year with the addition of Ruff to pull it all together and lead them but that failed so Kev convinced Terry they were close and he just needs another year. They're just slightly behind their schedule and if Dahlin hadn't been injured and/or they didn't have to go to Europe and if Cozens had just been better they'd have been there. I'm sure that was his take (plus a few other excuses no doubt). So, they stay the course, and that is all the "plan" is.
  6. If so many teams are supposedly interested in JJP - isn’t that a sign of a player that the Sabres should keep? Like, seriously, what are we doing here?
  7. Forton sure seemed enamoured with Mrtka at the presser. For a draft presser sure didn’t learn much about the draft.
  8. Carlie Irsay - and her play-card and headset - has entered the chat.
  9. Another joke of a press conference from our joke of a GM. How can anyone really be so incompetent and out of touch?
  10. Was it 76? I don’t know, 88 to 96 were my lost years, I was overseas most of it.
  11. Well she is the ownership liaison. It only matters if she’s having input and sway on the decision making. If she’s just sitting there repping the owner than that is likely pretty normal.
  12. It's going to be Mrtka and they will play him way too early. Bank on it.
  13. The worst thing in the press conference hasn't even been discussed yet. Pegula has his daughter sitting in on scouting meetings?!?!?! In what world would this be a thing for any other franchise in professional sports?!?!
  14. I think he gets offers and rejects them because he will overvalue the pick because they are always thinking future over present. Future never gets here as we always lose pieces along the way. So they will pick and my guess (not my choice) is it'll be Mrtka. Then they will take this kid (who is likely a good 3 years away from being NHL ready) and insert him into the starting line up beside Power so they can "grow together". Hoo-ha!
  15. Well that's Rochester. They certainly didn't have it here last season. Maybe Norris and Thompson will be something (there was a brief flash of potential there) but that of course depends on if Norris can be healthy and if Ruff moves Thompson to the wing with Kulich or McLeod as 2C and 3C respectively. Honestly, if all healthy and not traded I expect something like: Peterka-Norris-Thompson Zucker-Kulich/McLeod- Quinn Benson-McLeod/Kulich-Greenway Malentstyn-Krebs-Lafferty But likely SOMETHING changes between now and the season. This line up isn't good enough and UPL Levi will not get us there either.
  16. I am going to guess that he trades 9 and gets a late first rounder plus a RHD who is a 5/6 Dman but KA thinks could be Power’s sidekick.
  17. Maybe another trade down year (like 2024). They only have a certain number of players worth drafting at 9 and they won’t be there. GMKA won’t find a trade partner to get a good NHL’er for #9, so instead he’ll settle for more picks. Hoping I’m wrong.
  18. Sooooo...recent indications alledge the coordinated attack only set Iran back a few months? I hope not. Couldn't imagine how much that operation cost.
  19. Does it really matter anymore? What's the prospect pool look like in 2026? With no improvements to this roster, I'd put money on us picking top 5 again. Rinse repeat....
  20. "What Do You Do with a Number Like Nine?" You let that number get the neck surgery it wants and you sign veteran defense and goaltending to keep that number happy.
  21. You did this already. 🙂
  22. Ignoring two of the goals he scored that year… maybe that’s why it took so long to get in.
  23. My favorite part was when he said they have a plan in place and are executing it. Kind of comical he’s done not a single thing addressing the roster all off-season and got in front of a mic and said he’s executing on his plan
  24. Would love them to trade it ++ for a top 4 defensemen or a top 6 forward That being said I think everyone knows they’re standing pat and making the pick
  25. Peterka and Quinn had it in Rochester and flashed it as rookies. Would love to see them get a chance to rekindle that with a tough, savvy centre. If only Dylan Cozens could have matched his concept.
  26. Good for him. Thrilling overall NHL career story, from dodging kgb agents to 74 goals and a cup with NJ I believe. Definitely a good HOF section to stop and read on if they do it right.
