I posted essentially the same sentiment over in the TSW forum. It’s as if we forgot when we really sucked.

Wow! That is crazy...thank goodness they were able to get help for her and the procedure done. For Rasmus, I can't imagine this is not going to have long lasting effects on his mental state because it's not like she is going to be able to lead a normal life after this, and I cannot blame him one bit...nobody would be. It's going to be a tough road for both of them I am guessing.

Does anyone know what the ticket costs are for the Buffalo Bandits? Clearly, a better product and entertainment value.

They haven't said other than minor and day to day. He stood up and did an interview yesterday so my guess is maybe soreness or something?
-
What is Tuch’s issue right now?
-
I don't believe that. Second: probably none
-
I can't believe he is here. I mean this with absolutely zero judgement on Rasmus. But if this was my wife and I had "never work again money" you would be hard pressed to get me back to "the office". It certainly takes a lot of strength and resolve to show up to work thousands of miles away from your recovering wife.

First statement: Then, what is depth? And how many teams in the NHL have it -- eight? As an example, Colorado had no depth last year. They rode two elite players (MacKinnon/Makar -- who missed a combined 5 games all year) through a mass of injuries and the shoddiest of goaltending early on. They were a period from going 13-13 to start the season until Dahlin got injured (which sent the Sabres - also no depth last season) spiraling out of control. Colorado also then fixed their goaltending which we know is an impossibility here except for Levi ascending. Second statement: This is a fact. All summer our only debate was which combinations would be among the forwards. But how many non-tanking teams have more than 1 spot "open" after the first surge of UFA?
-
Agreed. Also, in the past 18 months, how many teams have flipped 3 higher-roster players than Peterka Cozens and Mittelstadt?
-
They can be core pieces, I guess. Norris is paid like one, his durability will determine his worth. Kesselring is their 4th best Dman so that is on the edge of “core”. I think he will elevate Power’s progress so there is that. If Norris plays 65+ games, that will be better than 82 Cozens games. He was brought in to be a part of the core. Kesselring is a hope to become a part of the core. Winning teams have a core of stars that they roll out (Bobrovsky, Barkov, Reinhart) ( Vasilevskiy, Hedman, Kucherov, Point) but they also have some “core” role players.

Agree…..and in my wildest dreams I also hope Doan can eventually become the “Foligno” of the Dale McCourt trade. I would love to see him become a top 6 player who can add some intensity and a physical presence that could help the top 6. Maybe too much wishful thinking on my part though.

None in terms of making the roster. There is plenty within the roster. Tage, Tuch and Norris are the only players with defined roles on the depth chart. All kinds of variations after that.
