Yet the way he handled Reinhart after Eichel is to me more maddening. As the compensation in Reinhart trade is right horrible.

GMKA worst in my view, was the lack of action DURING the 91 point season and the off season which followed. The team was floundering for two thirds of the season and he just sat on his hands. They close hard and miss by a couple points. If he addresses goaltending and veteran leadership in December, I believe the team would have made the playoffs. I’m not a fan of Adams but in fairness, he didn’t know how to build a team then and still. He was a cheap hire by “white shoes” Pegula. Maybe in five years he will become a good and competent GM. Learning on the job is fine and healthy, but his starting point was so far back….well the results speak for themselves. He was hired as a hatchet man and kept around because he supported the maintenance of the Pegula family lifestyle. Stood at the podium and deflected attention away from the worst owner in hockey.

This is a million dollar question. The leak is: "The Buffalo Sabres have been holding internal discussions about replacing general manager Kevyn Adams, three NHL sources have told The Athletic." The Sabres Executive organization is Terry Pegula, COO Peter Guelli, Sr VP of Business Ops Rob Minter, and CCO Jacob Vernon. You could possibly add Kim Pegula and/or maybe Laura Pegula. maybe. The Hockey Operations is lead by Adams so I doubt he is in the room, but this the Buffalo Sabres. The Sr Advisor is Jarmo and they have never said who he reports to. I will assume it is Terry. All others report to Adams - Stahl, Karmanos, Jakubowski, Forton, etc., ... so I would not think they are involved in this decision. Then there is the head coach and I have never seen anything saying that the HC report to Adams or Terry. The football coach reports direct to Terry so it is possible that Lindy does. So Monday "they" get Terry, together finalize the plan and the comms for it.
