I like Power's current game just as much as Bryam, and his potential at this point a lot more than Byram. Byram only has worked when playing with Dahlin, and he as to be the '2nd' guy on that pair (in terms of responsibility)
-
In this case equating Bryam to a slightly better version of Cozens is the BEST comparison I can make. If you don't like that I pointed out Cozens flaws in the past, thats on you. There is no better player for me to make my comparison to. Personally I am pretty sure I make less negative comments about Cozens than many on this board do about Adams and/or Power, people with more influence over this team than Cozens had. The 'kicking your dog' comment is better spent directed other places.

Trading Power for Byfiekd makes absolutely no sense to me. Sure, I would love to add Byfield but not for Power. And it would take a lot more than Byram to get Byfield.

Kesserling/Greenway Injury Update (10/24)

He's not my boy. I don't get why saying something "not negative" against a player suddenly makes someone their advocate? Honest question: Can you explain why you gave me a reaction to my post? -
I agree with comments above: if, in fact, he's going to play, and he's going to be in one of the top 3 pairings (there are only 3 that play in the game, which we all know), shouldn't he be practicing with the top 3 pairings, and more specifically, with his defense partner for the upcoming game? Same would apply to any player who is returning from injury and set to appear in a game - practice on your pair/line with your partner/linemates.

Kesserling/Greenway Injury Update (10/24)

I'll be suprised if it isn't Byram Dahlin Power Kesselring Samuelsson. Timmins -
I’m hoping that when Kesserling works out the rust that he gets paired with Power. I like the way Sammy has been playing but I believe he is better suited on the third pair with Timmons. That leaves Bryam paired with Dahlin on the first pair. The player that I’m most pleased with in the unit is Samuelsson. He’s not noticeable because he’s efficiently doing his job and seems to be playing with confidence.

Did Cozens kick your dog or something? We get it....you don't like him. No need to keep crusading against him. If Byram is a Camry, what is Power, a Jetta?
-
I see two reasons to discuss.

Kesserling/Greenway Injury Update (10/24)

Kesselring may be ready for action with Metsa being sent down Dahlin Samuelsson Power Timmins Byram Kesselring Maybe 3 evenish pairs? -
Eklund is just something hey. There is no way we go after Kempe with his UFA status and the current ask of contract. Byfield, now there is a possibility, LA was apprently quietly shopping him in the off season for defensive help, and with the struggles of the Vet defensmen they picked up in Doumalin and Ceci, maybe they are willing to discuss that again Byram for Byfield? Maybe we need to kick in a bit more but that could be something Byfield for Power.....boy I just don't know how to feel here, I probably would still say yes as long as it was one for one Either of those would be eerily similar to the Seth Jones for Ryan Johnason swap! Hello Jarmo We just would then be needing to add another defensman
-
The 2 goals he was responsible for at the time the post was made for 1 thing. What does Ruff and management have against them? They're the ones that sent your boy back to the A.

From Good Ol Eklund: ”Major Move Coming to Buffalo...(e4) This might be the most interesting thing happening this week. The Sabres are dangling some "very game-changing players, including 2 top 4 D, in their attempt to bring in "speed, skill, and scoring" to their top 6. The team they are talking the most to is LA and it is believed Adrian Kempe is VERY much part of these discussions...The Kings have been one of the best defensive teams in the past few seasons, but losing Gavrikov has turned into a much bigger deal than anticipated. They currently sit middle of the pack defensively, and they simply don't have the firepower to outscore teams...”

For reasons I cannot disclose, I now feel the Sabres should give Alex Tuch what ever AAV he wants

The 5 headed Goalie Monster - What is the solution?
PerreaultForever replied to GASabresIUFAN's topic in The Aud Club
Yes, this is most likely true. It might be time for him to switch attitude though. He's skittish and afraid and doesn't want to make a mistake now and he didn't know what he was doing in goal so he just got guys available and hoped something would work. Now's the time to just become resolute and announce this is it. This is who we are going with and it's win time. Send that message to the team too. Cut bait, cut losers, be bold. Make a move for someone available if it's there. Buyer not seller. Forget Norris, forget Greenway, forget UPL. Ditch the mistakes and roll with what's working. I'm just rambling here but the idea is at some point you have to just get BOLD. -
That's quite possible. But they were practicing Metsa with Byram. Kesselring was working on the 4th pairing with Bryson.
-
Metsa loaned to Rochester
-
What's his GSAx for his NHL career and his AHL career? My guess is that those numbers are piss poor as well.
-
He was hurt in camp, no? They may enter him into the lineup on 3rd pair until they are comfortable he’s got his game legs.
