I can see why people thought that of him. And I don’t know him well enough and don’t know what ever happened behind closed doors, but he never came across like that in person.

I'm not sure that is the case. The speculation became louder and more credible. Why prolong announcing a decision that has already been made and evident to most people? There is no easy way to do it. So just do it and move on and not allow this issue to hover over the departed employee. It's going to be interesting to see if KA is still involved with the Pegula business in some manner or just cut loose from the Pegula business in toto.

I had heard from some people in the business that this was the idea from the day they brought Jarmo on board. I wouldn't be surprised if all of the positive developments (goaltending, Doan, etc.) were already part of Jarmo's influence.
