No he cannot. Terry has proven that he'll listen to anybody in the building. This is exactly how Adams got the job, by having Terry's ear, and talking to him about things well outside of his role.

The rumors of Appert taking over post fire are really concerning. It's the same exact plan that was rumored with Adams.

There is no need to move Lindy into the FO mid season and Appert has done nothing, at all, ever, in his career to deserve a shot as bench boss.

Adams to HC is just like Forton to assistant coach. It's just Terry handing out favors to friends.

Weird stuff alert…

At the 11min 45sec mark in the postgame show, Paul Hamilton (not on this road trip) says when the tv cameras focused on Sabs bench, that to him at least, it appears Seth Appert is actually coaching the team, with Lindy standing behind him…these last 2 games.

The former Columbus Blue Jackets general manager was planning to work out of Columbus for this season. In November, plans started to change. Kekalainen was on the road with the team and in Buffalo almost exclusively. 

Sources indicated that this was being done in an effort for him to get an understanding of the day-to-day operations with Ruff. It has been some time since he was reported on the scouting list in Columbus, where he was a constant in October and into early November.

He has worked closely with associate general manager Jason Karmanos on scouting trips and getting up to speed on the workings of the organization outside of the offseason planning he was a part of.

You may not be aware of it but the mushrooms you are consuming are hallucinogenic. Your level of fantasy is beyond imagination. 

What will the owner do? I don't know what this aloof owner will do. What I do know is that a tail end three game winning streak against lesser opponents will not come close to offsetting KA's six-year dismal record.

I imagine through conversations with sources either  Fairburn or Tim Graham have. Based on the coverage that Tim Graham had of the Bills Sale to Pegula it would not surprise me if Terry was one of His Sources

Do all of these guy report direct to Terry?   I know Guelli does.   Jarmo was supposed to be an Advisor to Adams.  Ruff the HC but is he not under Adams?   

Going back to the LaFontaine days - I think Terry needs a class on organization development.

But just imagine how big the falloff would be as soon as they learned he wasn’t being canned. They’d lose 30 games in a row. 

Just jettisoning his dark side ways will be such a boon to the franchise.

The key will be getting a decision maker with a legitimate playoff vision and the respect of their fellow GMs.

Except get the Amerks to the AHL Final Four in 2023. That's about the pinnacle of his resume. His tenure as RPI head coach was nothing impressive.

Thinking small?   You don’t want a proven coach that has been knocking on the door of the Stanley Cup.  You want a first time AHL coach.

I would guess the coaching staff are not a part of this. It will simply be Adams reassigned and Jarmo to GM. It makes sense to do this soon as if Adams is essentially a lame duck, regardless of how many years he has on his contract, then it is time to move on as there are important decisions to be made (Tuch, RFAs). Jarmo will hire a new coach in the off-season.

Terry P has structured the organization the way he wants it to be structured or more accurately unstructured. By creating this disorderly line of authority, he has more ability to dabble when he so desires. He's a third-rate owner and third-rate wannabe POHO. The sabotaging issue isn't that he doesn't know much about how to be a good NHL owner. It is that he's not aware enough to recognize what he doesn't know. That's the damaging trait that has hovered over this franchise since he bought it.

Mike, I know how you feel about old-man Karmanos. You know the history better than me. Would Jason Karmanos and DeBoer have a (positive) history, given that DeBoar came up through Compuware and the Plymouth Whalers?
