The point of trading Power is you are getting a top tier player in return. You don’t trade him for “a couple third liners”.  I want someone’s best player under 25.

Let’s see if Kesselring is a top 4 first.  That makes it easier to do.

This is the exact type of game we’ve seen countless times for so long now that they just presented totally lackluster performance right when they have the opportunity to show that they’re for real. Or at least on that track.

This is on a 4-1 lackluster no show type loss, so if they do manage to turn this around and actually get a win, I will be very impressed.

Did I miss the 20 minute penalty called on the Sabres....as it sure seems like they've been on the penalty kill the whole period (so far).

Put some skates on Hairston and maybe he can show them some foot speed

So do I but his play hasn’t inspired my hopes on the return.

Well his value may be on the decline but I still think someone would give you at least what we got for Peterka, which at first glance seems like a couple of 3rd liners but I think both players end up in the top end of the roster. It’s time to move on.  Power needs a fresh start.  Sabres could use another couple of gritty young players like Doan and Kesselring.  This isn’t hard to do but Adams makes it seem impossible. He’s so worried about optics.  Just make the deal Kevyn.

Kevyn Adams hasn't even had the idea of trading power.

I imagine by the time he decides what candy he wants to hand out for Halloween, it will be Christmas.
